@ JC08: Firstly, welcome to the thread. Judging from past non-smartphone SE launches, I can't see it hitting the shelves before August. (mid-Quarter 3). Hope its earlier, though...

786KBR mentioned a while back that SE-SA have closed the gap somewhat with the European release dates. This was particularly evident with the W880i. It's difficult to give an accurate prediction at this stage. We're bound to have a much better idea within the next month or so. £220 seems like an accurate starting figure, but as it doesn't have any major spec-related advantages over the K800i/K810i, I predict it to drop very quickly in price.(even with its slim metal figure, aesthetic focus and T-series heritage.) Give it a month or two after its market release and there's bound to be a noteworthy, decent cash saving. ;-)

I think you're allowed a laugh. Gé Korsten represents a wholesome aspect of Afrikaner culture, that's probably why the sing that song pity the guy blew his brains out when he could no longer deal with issues.
@JC08: Hopefully we get the new phones from by September for the latest...Personally I can't wait to get my grubby paws on the P1i.

Yeah I suppose Ge's powerful, emotive songs lend themselves more to the passion of 'ruck-bie' than what anything released by (God forbid..) Jurie Els, Bles Bridges or Sonja Heroldt et al would've...

@ama - Nice report about those moto bike-fines . . . so, a bike can reach the speed of 295 km/h I guess the bike's tires are NOT already touching the pavement at that speed

@ JC,
LOL no worries boet.
@ Jojo,
I guess we just missed each other last night.
As regards the speed, yes there are several standard production bikes out there that are capable of cracking the 300km/h barrier. However, since 2000, there has been a 'gentlemen's agreement' between the big Jap bike manufacturers to 'govern/ limit' the top speed to 300km/h.
When Suzuki launched their 1300cc Hayabusa (Japanese for peregrine falcon) in 1999, these bikes were just able to crack the 300km/h barrier, in ideal conditions. Some of the bureaucrats in Europe really started protesting at the rapidly increasing speeds being produced by production superbikes, which put pressure on the manufacturers to install electronic limiters later that year.
As such, the current Hayabusa, Kawasaki ZZR1400 etc. have the potential to reach the speed.
BTW, there are ways of 'confusing' the top end speed limiter on these bikes with certain aftermarket electronic 'black boxes'.
300km/h is quite enough though, but it's another example of how numbers and specs sell products to us ever-demanding humans.

Honestly any top speed up to 250 is more than enough for me as you always get the old come 'i'll turn out in front of you couple meters away and expect you to break from 300km/h' drivers lol those are the real maniacs so us able drivers have to compensate for these idiots by driving much slower than we normally could handle!when i learnt to drive i used to always drive at the limit...like fly past my house at 160 then break last min but then quickly learnt that you may be able to handle the car but you cant stop that kid running across the road!hehe needless to say i still drive fast but now i leave margin for corrective action to take place even if it's needed midway through a high speed bend.i love my driving.what's the fastest/nicest cars you guys have driven?
