Exactly why I say I'm happy with polycarbonate, metal phones seem to have all kinds of weird build issues and even RF issues in some cases.
Last phone I owned with metal was the Nokia N80, the metal was very prone to dents.

With rumors of the Galaxy S5 coming with what maybe a metal body, I hope Samsung take notes and don't create disasters like their Japanese rival:

I'm quite happy with polycarbonate, all Samsung need to do is make it thicker like on the Nokias, I feel like metal really is overrated on phones, the iPhone proved that, so did the Htc One which can dent easily after a drop, and now the Z1.
Keep trolling with the snide remarks. The comments in XB explain it. Only idiots would fall for it, which explains what we have here I suppose. |

And the Sony defense rolls in
Very odd that this many users have complained about a similar issue, but yeah, maybe they all got together and decided to purposely damage their Z1s.

Or, you know, as anyone with at least half a brain cell would, that they accidentally sat on it or something...
You should stick to fantasizing about the next greatest built in feature since multi-item clipboards, available on any android smartphone with access to the play store thanks to free apps.
But, because you are limited to the intellectually starved iPA audience comment sections, I'll paste XB if it's so scary to go there. Here you go: (courtesy of kevinlow commenting on this article http://www.xperiablog.net/201[....]dsets-reported-by-some-users/)

To debunk the heat argument: We can rule out heat and heat alone as the cause, because heat cannot permanently deform aluminium as long as it stays below melting point. Yes, below melting point things still deform, but they bounce back after the heat is removed, like the spring in your thermostat needle. Heating aluminium enough so that it is bendable by smaller forces than usual is also ruled out, because the amount of heat needed to do this is at the level of a blowtorch. The fact that the phone still works, and the undamaged plastic bits in the areas where the aluminium is bent show that this level of heat was not reached. So we can conclusively say that a force, not temperature, caused this deformation (forces can be external or internal).
The only source of large internal forces in a smartphone that I am aware of is from failed Lithium ion batteries expanding. The pictures supplied clearly show that this is not the case, since there is no evidence of the phone bulging in the area where the battery is installed.
This only leaves me to conclude that the most likely cause of the damage is from external forces, the sources of which I leave to your imagination.

Your url didn't work, rather save your excuses over Sony's mistakes for the other zealots, keep it moving.
Cheers!

He's just trolling, ignore him.
Nice article by PhoneArena, showing one of the reasons why Samsung is still the best Android OEM:
How to multitask on Android: use multiwindow mode on Samsung Galaxy devices like the Note 3 and S4
Samsung’s TouchWiz skin is often said to be the root of all evil when it comes to Android custom skins: heavy, slow, and too cartoony. On the flipside of things, it comes absolutely packed with features, and one that we’ve come to love - especially on the big screen of a device like the Galaxy Note 3 - is multiwindow mode.
What is multiwindow mode? Simple - it’s a way to multitask on Android, stacking windows alongside just like you’d do on a desktop operating system like… Windows. It’s a feature that you can only find on Samsung’s TouchWiz Galaxy devices, and not even on all, but only on the fastest ones. Interestingly, such multitasking with two simultaneously opened windows is not possible even on stock Android!
Enabling the multi-window feature is extremely simple. Just swipe down from the top to bring the notification shade on your device. In the long horizontal list of toggles, scroll down to the last one and tap on it to enable it.
It’s easy to tell if you’ve turned the multitasking feature on - when it’s on, a little white arrow appears on the left side of the device (if it's off the arrow is not there). To start using multiple windows at the same time you just tap on it and then tap on or drag apps onto the screen. You can then adjust the size of each window freely - you can have, say, a YouTube video playing in a small window, and a larger one with your browser open for reading for example. You can even save your favorite pairs of apps for quick access, which we find handy.

I am finding the S4 on 4.3 with no lag at all and fast smooth with no bugs for me. Isn't that refreshing? ? For me anyway I had a few days of poor battery life but found the culprit and did some tweaking. The battery saver also does help. And Samsung's multi window works well without lag and is much better thought out than Sony's mini apps.

That's great news glad you're enjoying it.
You know what I discovered between yesterday and today? Having the Google Setting "Verify Apps" turned on can chow battery as well as having the Security set to High, I did this the other day and while I was out last night I noticed my phone going through its batt very quickly. The place I was at had bad signal but having been there many times before I knew that my phone was going through its batt far too quickly, I was far too faded to care though, but this afternoon I decided to adjust the settings back and voila, back to great battery life again.
WRT Power Save in the S4, I set it to save power on the Display and set it to NOT lower the CPU power as the CPU is quite efficient at handling itself, but with me being me I tend to pick up my phone every now and then to read news, WhatsApp, BBM, Twitter, Instagram, web browse etc... So the Display sees a lot of hard usage especially with White backgrounds as SAMOLED displays are quite power hungry when it comes to the color white and I've noticed a great increase in Batt life despite long periods of the display being on.
