WHAT IS THE PROBLEM TO RELEASE ION FOR GLOBAL IN Q2??? TELL ME THAT PLEASE. ITS NEVER TO EARLY. LOOK TO THE COMPETITORS... SONY IS ALWAYS TOO LATE. EVEN IF THEY HAVE A WONDERFUL DEVICE LIKE THE ION.
You really need to relax, better CPU doesn't mean better performance and Sony don't care about specifications with quad core or something like that, it's all about the software performance.
Let's just think about it this way: post-2010 SE/Sony UI is one of the least heavily-skinned UI, so there's less things slowing it down compared to stock Android. So while Sense and TouchWiz need quad-core to perform like normal, Sony can easily get away with dual-core since their UI is less bloated. I don't know whether or not this is actually true, but my single-core Ray performs just as well as my friend's MyTouch 4G Slide in real-world use.

Sony dissapointed me again. Since no cybershot in 2012 portofolio I will move to Nokia and buy 808 PureView becouse I don't want to wait years to Sony make a decent camera phone after k810i and c905.
What's your criteria, anyway? The Exmor R in my Ray takes way better pictures than my C905 ever did. |

Wow a Nokia Fan posting in Sony forum!! A first for Esato I guess!!~~ Hello and greetings dear Nokia fan, I see your INSECURITY towards Sony has made you post in this forum. And are we glad that you view us as threats. (Which means Sony DOES CREATE DAMN FORCEFUL IMPACTS { Make.Believe } )Yes. Nokia has created a first, 41mp photos, HUGE file size, and you will age faster while waiting for even a photo to load and view on your (upcoming?? Presume you are going to buy) phone, not to say computer.
And I believe currently DSLR does not have such high megapixel, which I believe they have their REASONS. Also, we have yet to see high ISO and night shots, only daylight pictures. So hold on to your horses first.
For me, a good 8mp camera will suffice. (Sony gave 12mp, a bonus for me yeah ^^) Beautiful high quality photos, FAST START-UP, FAST PROCESSING (with duo core). That really gives me the experience which we all want. |

I know what you mean, but I guess it has to be like that ...
It was not like that in the past ... Sony made their name from making advanced little devices ..
To build bigger phones is easier (even Apple can do it )
I Bought the Mini Pro not because it was cheap .. I looked for a small device that will be up to date and will surprise me and not disappoint me.
I agree with pt020, thats why I buy my phone. Heres hoping Sony will unveil a new mini and mini pro later in the year! And of course upgrade the specs from the 2011 models! |

You Sony Fans are a bad joke, keep talking and writing releases that nothing surprised the market, the same apparatus and some unattractive and neglect that revolutionizes the truth!
And the only truth is that revolutionizes the NOKIA, whether you like it or not, and no point in not reporting on anything here because the pureview here to stay and the beloved Sony humulhar of you and any other company!
41 megapixels of the highest photographic perfection is not for anyone but for those who can, and such daring only nokia has the courage and ability to perform technologically!
If the NSeries N8 already humiliated in terms of quality photographic Xperia S, which will 808 PUREVIEW ???
Kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk!
Unattractive huh ? Well I guess that word applies to your beloved Nokia 808 perfectly. Its as unattractive as a modern smartphone can get visually.
And I think you are making a fool out of yourself by even comparing Xperia phones with 808 pureview. There isn't a single area where the 808 is superior or even a match to ANY 2012 Xperia device except camera.
And sure Nokia may love creating a world record of sorts but you always judge a camera performance by how good its performance is at 100% and in full resolution. And the 808's full resolution shots at 100% are not 5 times better than the Xperia S. Heck not even twice better IMO.
So enjoy your NOKIA "world's worst DSLR" buddy. |

There is no 41 Mega pixel lens in GSM or other camera's 24 is maximum, what Nokia mention they use a 5 or 8 megapixel lens and the software will bump to 41 mega pixel resolution.
And second, Nokia don't make lens by them self.
I hope your frustration is over. |

That's not correct, the phone's sensor indeed has 41 megapixels (which is actually more than any DSLR, including the full-frame ones). However users will have an option to interpolate the images to 5 or 8 megapixels thus having a great picture quality and good-looking high ISO (at least Nokia say so). The full-resolution camera samples I saw were blurry but they'll probably look wonderful once interpolated to 5 or 8 megapixels.

Believe me, there is no such 41 sensors from Sony/Nikon/Panasonic and all other electronics concerns has non such 41 sensor for their camera's like DSLR
So NO!!!! No 41 mega pixel otherwise we already see in Sony/Nikon device already.
Nokia use just software that bump the resolution to 41 Mega pixel resolution.
Otherwise, give me some proof.

Just read here. The sensor's size is 1/1.2" and I don't think any other camera uses the same one. The closest to this is Nikon's CX format which uses 1" sensors with 2.7 crop factor found on their mirrorless cameras (they have only 10 MP though).

I said, give me proof where 41 mega pixel sensors are true, because i can't found them. 25 or 28 mega pixel is the highest they have in stand alone camera's .
So, give me some proof that a 41 mega pixel sensor module Give me a picture of that sensor. |

Yes but who would suffer with having to use Symbian again. It's positively agricultural by comparison.
I wish I knew if there was a new Cyber-shot phone coming our way - we've been waiting on one since 2010.

microsoft should have worked their ass off to make it work with winmob 7
but they look to have the same flexibility as a brick

I think if it ran windows phone 7, it would face the possibility of damaging sales of the Lumia devices. Because with the PureView they want to target people who want a good camera, but for everyone else (the majority) they want them to buy Lumia range. By having this device run Symbian it effectively stops people from buying the device who would otherwise have opted for a Lumia one.
That's my view anyway; people who want a decent camera first will make the OS it runs, second.
