i need the P5i too!! but i'm fortunate, the T650i is perfect for me until P5i is released, so i'm not all that fussed about waiting, and also i want to check out 'Maria' before making any decisions.

Here is the full text :
Now the information can probably no longer be held back, so here it goes.
The hardware changes, that we talked about yesterday, consist of two hardware components.
Processor. Instead of a TI OMAP 2420 @ 332 MHz it will be an unknown TI @ 520 MHz processor.
GPS module
The new UI with all its features will probably also need a stronger processor. This processor will also be compatible with Windows Mobile 6. This is an essential step in regard of the ability to construct new hardware.
Therefore this very late decision means the FP1 again will be discarded, and a new hardware platform created. Maria is said to be running the same platform.
The main reason for the CPU swap is the simultaneous announcement of new ARM-chipsets at the Smartphone Show 2007. The new chipsets are significantly
more efficient in terms of its graphics features than any previous versions.

Each time you remake your rendering it looks hotter and hotter. SE has to make sure that when the phone is announced, it better live up to expectations.
PK, when you getting the proto again? |

So if there's 2 protos of the same phone, then may be P5i is not nearly as done as it's suppose to be(obviously that's why they're tweaking it a bit more). If it will be announced this month, SE should have 1 proto by this time(not quantity, but the type). So whenever PK receives the next stage of P5i and it's similar to another, that's when the time comes close. Well that's just my experience from working with my friend. |

I actually prefer the touch up of the call/end buttons in this style that Sealover did. I cannot find the correct one.
I'm in TOTAL agreement with Doggman that specs have to be ON PAR with the new Nokia N82. However if spec wise its equal in delivering performance, there are MAJOR improvements besides styling that SE can STILL hit a home run with.

3> Use that Haptics technology that Samsung is using in the Giorgio Armani phone if keeping with touchscreen. Nokia has learned a HUGE amount with touchscreens in such a SHORT amount of time so use resources - do NOT share with Motorola ... as their still "Pending" purchase of 50% UIQ is a ploy in my opinion. See how quickly they partnered to Googles OHA? OHA is already promising to deliver 3G on Linux OS ... something that Motorola has taken 5yrs to get out of the gate with ... actually that RAZR2 v9 does offer 3G on a Linux/Java OS; Synergy it does but not on Linux. They'll benefit from OHA just on that alone.
But seriously SE this is your Flagship ... the ONE phone to rule them all and BIND them together ... show the competition what you are CAPABLE of and attract new interest in your lineup. Offer MORE UIQ derived phones and NOT limit them to the high end only. Nokia did this since day one with their 7650 until now many units offer it in various configurations. SE will have a serious time with OHA later in 2008 if it doesn't step up.
No more HALF-STEPPING SE. We love you but you GOTTA deliver.
