Finally! Free and Fullfledged gprs using Airtel Prepaid(India) |

hey alanDS my friend has n6021 and he is using mobile office through infra red port i think that set sucks but he says he has a very good speed of abt 6-10kB/s. why that happens?
when i checked my connection manager i had 2 connections airtel live and modem is that my problem? |

I think his handset has EDGE(I'm not sure).
Anyways, u have to quit one connection. So while using net in pc, you should have only modem connection active. Quit all other connections like Airtel Live etc.. after getting full internet in pc. |

Speakin of 6600, we all must agree that it is not a good phone for this trick. It is only a class 6 gprs phone which cant give speeds above 28-30 kbps. Besides it has other firmware issues related to frequent disconnection of gprs data connection. It is recommended to use a class 10 gprs phone for best results. I personally feel sony ericsson phones are a better option as even their starting range models come with class 10 gprs and requires minimum configuration for this trick. I am wondering if anybody got this trick working on a motorola since these phones come with some unique options on their gprs menu. . .

hey alanDS when i disconnected airtel live the speed raised to above 4kB/s ur a genius man a real genius! but i dont know whether this speed is there in my pc |

What do yo mean...speed on yor pc.....the oc has got nothin to do with the speed...its the network, dude

Hi am sure that x settings are all ok. I have connected before to the live site. I have been having this problem since the last one week. Can someone please help.

I don't know about free mms on Airtel. But some members here were talking about that 3 months ago(about codes like *#1921135518# to send mms etc..).
I bought 6630 on Feb06 for 14.2k. Now it's available for 13k.

my advice wil be go 2 some other place and try(4 detecting prblm at ur place,if any)
or on some othr cel at ur place (if that solves then prblm is in ur cel )
for that format ur phone and do setings once again. Bt i dont nw codes 4 frmatin a t230 !!!
that thing occured suddnly ???
i hav doubt on setins,chek dm again !!!

right now my yahoo messenger is having a really bad problem.i m signed out automatically it say YOU R SIGNED OUT BCOZ U HAVE LOGED IN FROM O DIFFERENT COMPUTER all the problems r created by yahoo msg do other messengers have these types of problems?.{like msn, rediff i have not tried them}
problems of my yahoo messenger:
1>i get logged in some time but cant connect to chat rooms [i can chat with my friends online]
2>some time get dissconnected
NOTE: i had set the proxies on and on http proxy i have given 100.1.200.99 port: 8080
{i am not using freedom, is that my problem?}
do i have to enable socks proxy

@anto if you're on prepaid and your balance is very low, airtel disconnects the gprs service. Just put some money into it and it will be reactivated automatically. |

i m on airtel prepaid
and i have balance of -20.30 rs(minus 20.30 rs)
and surfin free net with 7 kB ps
is that a very high balance ????
what u r talkin about is a hoax floated by airtel customr care people
just as an another easy excuse
4 persons havin problem with airtel live !!!!!
