Just sold my 'Beloved' Nokia 6680 for a pifling R1000.00 through www.vottle.com.It was only 6 months old and in beautiful condition.Sad.Couldnt get anything higher than that. The guy even had the cheek to ask me for a discount. That phone introduced me to the world of Symbian smartphones so I suppose it was well worth it.But come on a R1000.00 bucks.Feel so sorry for the guy selling his N70 on the same site for R1200.00.Obviously was in the same boat as me.Couldnt find a buyer.Yeah well. The bright side is the it at least covered the R2000.00 pay in I had to pay for my rocking P990i.Still feel like I've been robbed.

Thanks HOBBS.
I've nearly finished all the final arrangements and related red tape for next week. Phew, methinks I need a drink or two...now where did the head stash those left-over Stella Artois beers from the staff social...

About the 6680, eish...it's not much better here with trying to flog used phones on places like eBay or Amazon etc. With new phones coming out with more and more features for less moola, it's a bit of an artform to get a decent return for one's passe handset...

You funny Wanga. Two new Nokia's.Ouch! They just keep on coming. What can you say but Ouch! No on the other hand its awesome.Im pretty much on the fence when it comes to Nokia/SE.If I didnt get this P990i I would have opted for the Nokia E61.So I have no qualms with Nokia.Had a Nokia 6680 before this and it was fabulous. That Nseries is one hell of a series and growing like theres no tommorrow.Wow.You would think there was only two brands of cellphone around the way we go on.I love cellphones,so bring it on Nokia.Shock me!

Ya, I'm a bit of a draadsitter (as opposed to draadtrekker) when it comes to and Nokia as well.
Both have their deserved merits. I'm swayed to the cause to an extent, mainly due to my personal preference of UIQ, but I have no definitive, pseudo-sworn allegiance to one specific manufacturer only, like the dogmatic n' defensive fruitcakes that manifest on some esato and gsmarena forums. There's some out there who really ought to get out more.

I've had other makes over the years, including Motorola, Siemens, Sagem, Panasonic, etc. but no Samsung to date.

Hell yeah, bring on those new handsets!

Hi Jojo,
Yup, both Kryptik and I are teachers.

What are you getting up to over the weekend? Watching the F1? I see Singapore is getting a F1 night race on the F1 calendar as of next year!

@ama - Oh . . . that's why you are veeeeeeeeeeery PATIENT with some members here mate To become a TEACHER, you have to have loooots and lots of PATIENCE with your students - right What grade are you teaching? I read some sixth-grader in the last page though . . . is Mrs. Ama, a teacher too Take some pics of your GREEN-Kawa over the weekend mate . . . am really eager to see those pal

It's mostly INTERNET for me during the past weekends (months now) . . . yes, I will watch the F1 race though. I am really INTRIGUED with this new-comer from: McLaren Mercedes . . . Lewis Hamilton forgot the name . . . he always makes PODIUM-finishes during the last 3 races I guess but a s a newbie, he is really making his marks in the F1 pavement so far . . . [addsig]

Yes, patience is a must with my chosen profession.
Mrs A is also a teacher. You're right about the F1 driver. The Brit's name is indeed Lewis Hamilton and yes, he is having a dream debut in F1.
What a driver.
Alonso will be very determined to win at his home track this weekend...

No problem Jojo; I kinda knew you followed the F1, as I occasionally follow the Indian thread posts.
