I'm not usually the one to plug mobile networks but have to give props to Virgin Mobile. They've got a nice deal on a P990i adn W300i if you sign a post-paid contract with R150 worth of airtime over two years and 20 sms per month. You also get return domestic ticket (they don't specify the airline).

All this for only R356/month.

BTW mario has wasted no time in rubbishing SE's latest attempt at a smartphone claiming that it does not have WiFi G which means that it's only use would be as a door stop as opposed to the N95 which is the uber phone, not to speak of the N97

If you don't believe me check out the board on prodigits where the P1i us being discussed.

Hey Brix, tx for mentioning my name in here Yeah, I would have like it with WIFI 'g' and I don't recall anything about a 'door stopper', but what the heck, afterall is 'Brix' pointing me out - therefore it must be right. Greetings from a hot Jeffreys.

Lol brix i also thought you getting bit personal by mentioning his name here...out of context.anyway i think the p700 is powerfull but to be honest i dont like it simply because I find it fugly as hell very drab and dull(maybe a neat generic cover could solve that?).On the other hand t650 is one awesome phone though! respectable all round with great looks and build quality yet thin so that it's not noticed in your pocket...lets keep our fingers crossed that it wont be overpriced.only thing i can think of to criticise there is why so small screen?

Have to agree awesome phone, the only no brainer for me is the fact that they've persisted with QCIF video resolution...basically the same resolution you get with all the other phones and not much of an improvement since the K750.
But then again considering the T650 is the true successor of of the T610 I should not mention video resolution since it didn't have any video recording abilities. Here is where I have to give props to Nokia, video on the N-series is awesome.

BTW, mario knows I'm just pulling his leg..we occasionally chat on MSN.

i spent some time there tonite browsing the various forums... Their server problems don't seem to ever really disappear, do they?

@da krypsta: Prodigits is like wap version of MySpace...lots of trolls but occasionally you'll find a gem like mario's over enthusiastic posts in the forum or "Village People" in the sports forum going on about English football while I suffer in silence at my chosen team's performance this season.

I suppose I'm really busy during the day...was had to write a million-and-one small stories this afternoon which left me knackered...yes, I know it's not physical work but you do get tired when you're on the phone the whole day and all of a sudden your cellphone goes off from a contact you've been trying to get hold of the whole day...and all this usually happens late in the afternoon.

Quite funny.Watching Oprah and shes interviewing a guy called Chris Hanson from a show called Catch A Predator on Dateline NBS in America. This guy goes on the internet and pretends to be a young boy or girl and then sets up a meeting with a predator(paedophile/sicko) in a chatroom and then at the meeting place, nails them on National TV.Its the funniest thing and also the scariest thing what sickos exist in this world.Fortunitely most these creeps are arrested and charged, but the fact that there face is captured on film all across AMERICA is far worst than any sentence a judge can meter out I think. The last guy was a Rabbi and he was not s happy chappy as you can imagine. Also at the end of the show Oprah has some photos of Americas most wanted Child Predators on the run and anyone who gives infomation leading to the arrest of one of these guys gets a whopping $100 000.Dont you love the way she just gives her money away.

I've been extremely busy this week.
The Year 6 (Grade 5 in SA) kids here write their main exams next week, which they call SATs. (Standardised Assessment Tests.)
After Year 6, they go to high school.
The amount of paperwork and preparation prior to them writing the tests is something to behold.
The Year 6 exam papers are sent away/marked externally a la matric papers back home.
Children with SEN (Special Education Needs) may qualify for 25% more time to complete the papers (depending on the nature of their learning difficulties) and the various other peripheral factors and conditions all lend themselves to even more paperwork.
They only have SATs exams for the Core Subjects, ie. Literacy, Numeracy and Science.
All the other subjects are assessed using the teacher's ongoing assessments throughout the year.

Oh well, tomorrow's Friday...
He who laughs last... thinks slowest.
