@wanga When you get your green motorbike lol wont you do me a favour and find a way to strap your N73 to the nose, find a straight empty stretch of road, press the video recording button and burn some smelly tyre from 0-100kmph and then upload the clip.Pweez That would be fun. |

@ HOBBS,
Ya, I've got both my motorbikes with me now; the Kwacka was delivered last weekend.
LOL, not much chance of strapping the N73 on the Ninja yet though, as the run-in period is only up to 4000 rpm for the first 500 miles, then up to 6000 rpm for the next 500. After that and its initial service, it'll be time for the tachometer to visit the redline...
Maybe I'll try that on the other bike, the V-twin TL1000S at some point, but I'll just have to make sure I know exactly where all the permanently-mounted Gatso speed cameras are, around some of the local riding routes further outa town...

, I just couldn't resist getting it...!
Yeah, the dark green (almost black) TL1000S is 10 years old this year, but still is an amazing bike to ride. It isn't the smoothest superbike to ride and is certainly not a bike for any inexperienced rider. The V-twin isn't happy going through slow traffic, but the mid-range power on this model is truly in another class...it pulls like a train. Those 2 huge pistons certainly equate to a helluva lot of mid-range inertia.
It won't have the top-end speed of an in-line 4 cyclinder engine like the Ninja though, but that's why I've got the 2, with 2 very different engine and riding characteristics.
Mrs Amawanqa doesn't have a motorbike licence and doesn't have any experience riding bikes, but fortunately for me she enjoys going on the bike as a pillion/passenger. She knows that I'll 'behave' myself (ie. not ride too wildly) when she's on the bike with me. Mutual respect.

OFF TOPIC
Finally had the guts to send my phone to vodacare for a software upgrade thursday(03/0507) only thing is they have sent it to an "advanced repair centre" in joburg!!
Am worried coz a friend of mine sent his new W950 to vodacare about 3 weeks ago and they "Lost" it
how is this possible? to make matters worse vodacare says its not liable for such a loss!
i pray my baby come back before the week ends!
I dont trust vodacare anymore!! |

Hey bradboy,
You were quiet around here during the world cup...I was wondering what your thoughts were about how things panned out... and if you had changed your esato signature...
That's pretty disturbing that Vodacare won't deem themselves liable if the phone is lost by them. Is that because the 'repair centre' is the notorious assigned 'third party' company in Jozi and neither they or Vodacare want to fit the bill if someone steals the thing, or if they stuff it up in the process of updating?
And how pathetic that it had to be sent to an 'advanced' repair centre in Jhb for a flippin' firmware update!

@ W810iv,
How long did it take them to update it and get it back to you?

the n95 slider is definitely sheet!so anyone who hasn't used it dont be shocked to find that it rattles.. Other than that it's a brilliant phone and it's a pity most users will never use the smart phone features but rather buy it simply because it's a craze to have the latest nokia with good camera lol.
Anyway that Advanced repair center is actually IXIA amongst others but they really are advanced i took couple of moto's and to them in the past and they do a sterling job they based in midrand waterfall park and even uphold mtn's warranties so no need to book a phone through long processes just take it there collect it next day...some pics of my friends marine tank as you request wanqa
pity the site reduces the size killing lots of details

@ Falcon,
Wow, that's gotta be one of the coolest household marine tanks I've seen...I'd hate to guess what the fish alone in there are worth.
That must be pretty thick glass to support such a substantial tank, too.
Great to have cellphone pics on the thread, depicting various facets of our lives; it really adds so much more dimension than just plain old text. Thanks, Falcon.

Yeah nice how everyone has their own hobbies to share etc actually wanqa the fish are expensive but the most impressive and expensive part of his tank is the live rock and corals!fish are generally easier to keep and cheaper corals are delicate and about the same price but you need lots of it to fill up a tank like that...he built that tank himself from scratch glass and all!a ready set up of that calibre would probably be in the region of R70 000 but i estimate it cost him bout forty to do it himself

@falcon: Awesome pics, if you want us to see them in their full glory I'd suggest that you host them on something like Photobucket which is quite useful.

@ Jojo,
I certainly will be taking pics of the Kwak in action in the near future.
By the way, that N90 (in the non- pic thread) also takes some really decent pics, mate.

@ da brixsta,
Did you watch the football at all today?
The Gooners holding Chelski to a draw meant that ManUre are now the Premiership champs; almost hard to believe that the last time they won the title was back in 2003.
