Sorry about that. Somehow my messages are cut short when its sent thru the blazes browser of my palm. The phone driver for the T68i im talking about is for the palm m500 series. Only the t68m driver is currently available from the palm site. An acquaintance beamed it to me. He acquired it from PALM prior to its official release. I just thought some palm users out there needs it too. By the way it includes support for ir and bt.

Does it mean 90% of the units there are defective? What does your local SE say about this?

MFB,
You got me wrong, what I mean 90% it is more confirmation on the bulb or the current supply on your phone had problem. Not 90% of the phone had this problem. If the LCD had broke down that means your screen will totally have no image at all. So it is not so much of this fault. But yours is only appeared black shady image at some part of your screen. Therefore I am saying it is likely to be one of the bulb problem. Either the bulb in your phone had blown off or insufficent of transmitting the current to you bulb.

Unlikewise the T68 and T68i now is using flourescence blubs, not only it is brighter and it also save battery life.

Very interesting. Does this explain why if you switch your phone on and off many times, it drains the battery life (you end up with less talk time than if you left it on!)
The flourescent bulbs definitely save battery power while running .. vs a normal bulb, but you remember the older type of flourescent tubes, you used more energy switching it on then you did running it for an hour. Those newer energy saving bulbs supposedly don't suffer from this .. wondering what type is in the T68 |

Guys, I need your feed back. Any upgraders upgrade your HP to R2E sw and had subscribed to GPRS had this problem. The GPRS signal may just disappeard and left with the blue outline only on your handphone. And you have to switch it off and on again than the full signal will come back. Anyone got this problem? Thks in advance.

Hi Dairin,
Re: sending BG pics & melodies via BT
No problem wif such method as long as the other phone is within range (<10m). The only thing is, you require to search for a response from the other phone first. When you see the other party on the list, juz click & send. Simple & straightforward cos you dun need a "line of sight" as wif IR.
Hope I answered your querry. |

Sorry, forgot to address your 2nd question.
Animated gif can be saved as BG but only the 1st frame appears, i.e. static pic only. |
