sydney will be just right temperature this time of year... melbourne is always a bit cold... and you HAVE to be in sydney for new years... the party in the harbour is the best in the world. |

Seriously though. It depends on what type of lifestyle you're looking for. If you enjoy the hussle and bussle of city-type living, go for Victoria or NSW. If you prefer life being a tad more laid back, go for SA or WA. I'm in Perth and life is always good. Weather is nice (nicer than Sydney by a long shot!) and so are the beaches (yes I know Surfers is nicer). Only problem is that people can't drive as well as they do over east. Come over as a student...That's probably the easiest thing to do.
