ayush,if u get headaches very often,then u should consult a doctor.if its like once in a monthe or 2,then a tablet of disprin dissolved in a glass of water will work fine.but be cautious,dont take disprin often coz it will cause many sideeffect like gastric bleeding,decreased clotting time/increased bleeding time etc... |

@ Ayush,
Well, if u r getting daily headaches: make sure your eyes are not strained, i.e make sure your number hasn't increased...(assuming u wear spectacles)..
And yup as for medication, thug's right...but if it is a very severe headache, with watering of eyes, and makes you incapacitated, you may have to take another medication like caffine/sumatriptan tablets... so if it's daily headche better show a doctor in your area...
@thug,
Don't think i noticed u... we were forming trains too later...and nope didn't spend too much time next to the basketball court.. except for the Matka Jhatka event (blindfolded guy has to break matka while partner shouts out direction)... This too was won by my coll folks...
Hey man, that's one thing we medical students are lucky.. I consider PULSE the best Inter-country college festival in the country, and we get to attend it...
I have been at Mumbai's top festivals like Mood Indigo at IIT, Xavier's Festival (forgot the name, it's on the tip of my tongue though), Kaleidoscope, etc..but none compares to the experience or Scale of the one at AIIMS..

Thanks guys. But actually the thing is I have this daily (24x7) headache problem since I was 12 or somethin... (i am now 18) I have tried various medications (drugs and homeopathy) but nuthin worked. I still have the dull pain in my temples daily. I also got a CT scan, X ray eeg and blood tests done..but everything seemed to be normal..
@thug i am in uni 1st yr.
@oog my eyesight is ok. And my eye power updated. Eye doc says its not because of eye.
@thug I do take multi vitamin and i think i eat healthy veggie food

hmm... since you have gotten yourself investigated so extensively (with ALL the necessary investigations), then it must be fitting into the category "I spend too much time on esato" headche..
I was also going to suggest get a dental checkup, because an impacted tooth may present as a dull ache in the head.. but since u said u have it since 12, it's unlikely that's the cause..

yup.. just checked my Harrison (The Last word in Medicine for doctors).. your condition fits into "Chronic Tension Type Headache" which u must know by now.. So medications are not very effective for this type...
Some people have tried electromagnetic stimulation to surrounding muscles with good results..
And it's said this headache subsides on its own with age...
Try emedicine site... it's a reliable authntic site for such info..
