Well, apparently it affected Southern states only. States like Perak upwards were not affected. The power at my area was just restored some 10 minutes ago.

Can you store sms on the SIM or not? Not in the pone, but on the SIM...

By default, it stores it in the phone. But you can choose to move it to the SIM.
