Hey hey!

Sorry been so quiet, have had a hectically busy and disconnected week or 3...the week running up to easter being sick, and easter deciding to relax and do absolutely nothing, only to end up in the most hectic weeks after that!

Well, I am caught up on the forum now, except for the damn pictures which needs me to be logged in but gives crap on EVERY computer regardless of OS or browser. I give up.

So I have spent every moment I have reading books on my phone. I never thought I would get used to it, but it is absolutely great. The reader Readmaniac displays it sideways with a black background, absolutely comfy for reading;-)

So yeah, a new guy at our company got a p910. Have not spent much time kuiering with him yet(did today and the breath factor made it harder than it should be, so no upcoming best friend there!)

Everyone, how has the traffic been in your areas since the holidays have passed? It has been incredibly bad from day 1 after it started, and it is getting worse every day. Anybody have the same or is this curse only in the northern center areas of Pretoria?

Anyway, will be more regular if circumstances allow, but for now, enjoy the evening...

Been fluctuating through differing moods this past week...right now I'm in a weird space but before I get off track let me start off with some mobile developments in my world.

Last week I was approached to write a blog about a mobile VOIP client...will decide later today, just need to sort out some stuff at work.

My N70 has been giving me a lot of network problems of late, especially when I'm on 3G...I'd get an erratic signal which means that at times I'm without any network coverage even though I'm in direct eyesigh of the York Street tower. Will head on over to Vodacare on Friday to check whether it is any fault with the phone.

Haven't posted pictures in an eternity...will try to post some up this evening when I get home- hopefully I have a signal.

Hey all, howzit.

Deluded, math truly is a strange creature. I did four years of it after high school, with another year of part-time study thrown in for good measure yet, when i look at the math done at high schools these days i'm convinced i'd fail rather miserably.

Brix, have you tried turning 3g off? You know, selecting GSM mode instead of dual? I had problems staying connected on mxit until i did that, haven't suffered a disconnection in more than a month.

A very weird thing happened an hour or so ago... Was replying to an email on my phone when it started broadcasting some office sounds, as if somebody had inadvertently called me and left the call running. I could hear people moving about, talking, sounds of a keyboard, rattling of a coffee cup, all this via the loudspeaker. I hit the menu key, saw no open apps barring Netfront... Even weirder, it happen a few minutes later, carried on for about 2minutes when it simply stopped. Any ideas/thoughts/theories?

Francois, tell me about it, the main routes seem more clogged than usual. I wonder if they're aware that the fuel price is set to increase by another 40cents per litre? That's according to a radio report this morning. Just what we don't need right now!

@ Kryptik, that is just strange! Sounds like the type of prank I would pull on someone, but as to how to do that, I have no idea. have you monitored your call register/data usage while this was happening? The cellphone haunting...If you figure it out, let me know what did it...would love to pull some on some people...what fun!

Which brings me to a question: can a bluetooth device cause something like that? Maybe a headset or such...?!

Checked every conceivable setting, bro. Nothing coming in or out. Curioser and curioser, cried Alice... It happened yet again a few min ago, called Mrs.K to hear it too. Initially thought it could've been caused by Gameloft's G.R.A.W. game since it has plenty of sound effects including some keyboard sounds, possibly retained in memory but i deleted it after the first occurrence, then rebooted the phone. No dice though, it's still yapping away every now and then. Phone is on Meeting, but it doesn't vibrate when this happens, and it broadcasts directly from the loudspeaker.

Well, that innings didn't go too badly then, we ought to be able to win this match, i think. Unless we really muck up, of course, which aint outside the boundaries of possibility...

@krypsta: Actually switched the phone to GSM mode last night, haven't had network issues since.
@HOBBS: Not much sympathy for that treacherous, greedy scunt...Highly talented but awfully misguided.

What a clinical job done in less than 20 overs...is this the same team that played New Zealand and Bangladesh?
Now then, 4th place plays 1st in the semis, 2nd play 3rd...

well well well if it isn't dejavu ala 1999 world cup lol we lost to aussies in the first round only to meet them in the semi's......thing is this time i'm hoping we gonna make that last run!i think smith should shock the aussies by playing around with the batting and bowling orders as the aussies always have game plans based on that.we've beaten them before and can do it again!

Was spectacular.Didnt expect it to go like that at all. That team should hit the bars every night till the semi-finals.Seems to have relaxed them.

This guy I know was watching cricket at about 11:30 or 12 and went ape over a wicket... started jumping on the bed and screaming.

Needless to say his wife (who was sleeping) had to be calmed down my the medics.
