Is a lion killing an antelope cruel? The lion will certainly not kill the antelope as quickly as a slaughterhouse will kill a cow, so is the lion being cruel? Of course not!

The natural cycle of things means that we must consume food to live, nature provides food as both animals and non-animals. A plant is a living being, is it any less cruel to walk on grass than it is to kill a cow? Both are living beings, why is it ok to kill one and not the other?

The natural cycle is one of birth and death. Some animals die so that others may live, that is how nature operates.

There is evidence to suggest that cannabalism existed in Britain as late as circa 500 B.C. in Britain. People did used to eat one another because it was a source of food for survival. Most cultures may now find it unacceptable, but that wasn't always the case.

Our bodies require protiens, which ar eprimarily to be found in meat. Nature has designed us this way. If you cut meat out of your diet and do not take active steps to replace the lost protien content your body will suffer as a result. Equally we are not carnovires, we also require vegetable matter in our diets and a diet consisting of pure meat will likewise have a detreminetal affect upon our bodies unless we take active steps to replace the missing components. This is one of the reasons so many doctors have been critical of the Atkins Diet I might add.

@scotsboy we do not require meat as a source of protein, ive not eaten meat at all in my life and i am a healthy person, im 5" 10 and weigh 10 stones which shows we do not need it

@gigs, sikhism is a religion which does not allow meat or drink or harmful drugs

Please read my post, I did not say we 'needed' meat, I said it contains an important source of protien that we require to live. You get your protien from another source and that's fine.

Out of interest, what have you had to eat today?

eh I dont wanna be rude either.....

The truth is that a lot of ignorant people all over the world and from different religious faiths find it easier to start a fight than to be civil and cordial...

Doest matter about theire color either.... me I am happy I am color blind its all green to me...

The grass is green, the cows are green the sky is green the money is green and above all I am green too and you should see green too....

That sounds rather delish I have to say.

How were each of things made? Did they involve the death of a living being at any point? Did they require the use of any animal involvement to produce them?
