I'm with you on that, which is also why I have never used such an app

fortunately windows mobile comes with msn mobile built in but I havent yet seen a 3rd party app that connects directly, but even then, can you be sure they are not feeding back the entered details to somewhere else too?

or are we just paranoid

I never used it, because one disadvantage was that if you wanted to uninstall it. Agile Messenger was really hard to completely get rid off. No hanging around on my phone.

I think we are just paranoid lol but I still cant have it any other way than direct access to msn.

Is IM++ the only other real option? Why isnt there an official msn/windows live messenger for UIQ i dont understand. S60 have one.

You call that an alpha? Its more a extremely good beta...right now is a great option. And so is the latest version of fring.
