I havnt read the whole post so dunno if uve tried this. Go to internet profiles and change the internet mode to 'http' not 'wap' thats usualy the 300kb problem!

Hey gyz i didn't find any option for change between wap n http in my fon (T230)

@aet.... i am not sure about t series.....but k series its settings...connectivity.. internet profiles...choose the connection....choose more...settings....you will see internet mode....choose "http" instead of "wap". |

So did it work for u? U defo have to change to http and leave it on. its a well known problem wid d 300kb n wap mode.

ok...this is what happened....i called up hutch ...changed my gprs from rs 99 plan to HUTCH access... rs 499 ...and with that i was able to download larger files...believe me yest i downloaded files of 4 mb......
so...the conclusion of my never ending problem ends here......one simple reason...the rs 99 plan of hutch allows me to browse all wap sites...and allows me to download up to 330-340 kb....and with the Hutch Access plan it gives me Http coinnection .... and able to download larger files....
Guys ...this is the ending of the story.....thanks a million for all your help.....
i have also tried .... http in the rs 99 plan that i had earlier which gave me this prob....with the http no sites were opening.....
once again....thanks a lot guys.....

hutch access also comes in bangalore for 199 and 499....with 199 every 10kb or so will be charged 50 ps...and with 499 100 mb is free every month....
the http is not working on the 99 plan
@amd....whats http header?

i took the airtel connection ...mobile office....working well..... ablke to download larger files in HTTP mode ....but as i said...in WAP mode downloading is limited to around 340kb.....
i guess that is the answer....
