The 3 Ns from Nokia are quite ok. However, I still have reservations about the Carl Zeiss optics since I am pretty sure, when we drop the unit, the lens will break into pieces. Hopefully, SE adopts not the Carl Zeiss but the ceramic lens from Casio Exilim technology. Lighter and stronger and possible thinner optic lenses thus resulting to a much thinner and sexier phone.
I too was wondering why Sony allowed the Carl Zeiss lenses to be installed in the 3 Nokia units.
Also one reason why SE cannot really make the ultimate phone with all those 3-8 megapixels cams, giga hard drives, etc.we are all coveting for because it will cannibalize the sales of its digital cameras and photo equipment (camcorders, etc.)
As for Nokia, no problem since they can do whatever they want for their mobile phones since that is what they are really known for and it constitutes the biggest chunk of their sales.
Miss the good ol days where when it comes to design and features, Ericsson is top notch versus nokia and the others e.g. Ericsson R520,T39,R320,T20,T28.

Sony does not own Carl Zeiss... Sony Ericsson is not Sony, neither Ericsson. SonyEricsson can use whatever Sony or Ericsson owns through the SonyEricsson joint-venture agreement (e.g. Walkman brand), but when it comes to external contracting, things are different. Carl Zeiss has a partnership with Sony for products that are digital (video) cameras. SonyEricsson cannot claim that, that is obvious, so dont be pissed off. Sony cannot even complain about that. And Nokia is not a digital camera vendor. So where's the problem?!?
For Carl Zeiss, there is an opportunity to a completely new market: phones that embed digital cameras. Not digital cameras alone. Starting from there, look at SonyEricsson and Nokia market shares. Look at the tremendous market opportunity for Carl Zeiss. Game Over. |

sonyericsson should use Leica lenses the way panasonic uses them on their digital cameras. |

how does the N91 compare to the Samsung i300?
i300 has 3GB microdrive, both are smartphones, the i300 screen is larger (320 x 240), phone is smaller...
anyone else think this phone is most comparable to the N91? |

The N91 has a better camera than the i300 though.
What really amazes me though is the screen resolution of the N90. 352 x 416 pixels! Whoa. Not to mention 262k colours..

Ive just noticed that 352~416 is double of standart 176~208 so maybe it will emulate that screen size for old apps that dont support this screen

remember the D500? that phone sold extremly well for samsung. while it wasn't that special, just a phone with a new design, many advertising and good specs ON PAPER.
i'm sure these phones will sell, nokia is becomming the top innovatieve brand i think
With Ericsson and Nokia gone: we must keep their spirits alive and buy JOLLA or YOTA |

Yeah buddy you are right. They are using 4xscreen resolution for S60 applications on a P90 ! Very clever and nice idea indeed. The P91 has wifi because with 4gig onboard bluetooth is to slow for gigabyte data transfer ! Also you could use hotspots for internet access and even better voip ! The cell companies wont like that but they must get used to it because in 2years time WIMAX will be here !

I can't wait anymore to get my new toy. The N90. According to Nokia should go on sale next month. :-)
