@sasha: what i mean is the camera software version IN s700. I am not talking about its successor. I think you misread my post.
@numb : thanks. Just want to brainstorming everyone here so we as customer will quite aware the worst possibility before making buying decision.
@goldenface : is that what makes esato so great? I learn and grow with it.

The phone isn't even out.

And your point is what exactly ?
We all know its not out, however, what we do know for fact is that the K750 does produce higher quality images than the S700i. I dont see why people like you have such a problem grasping such a simple premise.

At least the S700 owners can talk and brag. They have the unit.

Okay, let me put my 2 cents into these "Auto-focus" discussion. If SE is really using the software trick to blur out the background, then the process of taking the photo and storing it would take a long time. The phone has to take the photo, process and blur out the non-focused area, then store it in its ram(before storing it to the memory card).
On the other hand, if the phone actually have the auto-focusing function/lens, then the process would be simple and fast. So, unless we have the actual product in our hand to test out the function, it's hard to say. But I doubt SE would want to incorporate AF by software because it will take more than a second or two to show the photo result.
Say, if all the AF is done in the software, then, it is a shame that SE don't incorporate that function into s700. But it is all comes down to business. I would love to blame SE, but they need to attract more attention to their new phones. Or maybe, k750/w800 has faster chip so they can process the feature fast and accurate? Who knows?!
But from all the news on the web, it seems like AF for real to though... |

From previews ive read from sites such as Mobileburn et al - they say it takes about 1 second to save an image to the MSPD stick.
Thats pretty fast, so i cannot see the AF being software only.
Ive never believed it to be software only either.

I just purchased the S 710a. Since I have money to splurge unlike you.
You looser, you spend all day in forums. get a real job you bum.
Any way when the K750 and the W800 come out. I will purchase both.
I will make real comparisons, unlike you. you're a dumbass that repeats what others have written. experience it yourself. Stop talking out of your a$$.

@etaab and firerock :
I can only suggest you to learn the way Nokia 6630 handle the image.
Nokia 6630 focusing the image and digitizing it after the picture was taken. It only needs 1 second. You can see the different between the viewfinder (as you chose the object) and the final result (after you pressed shutter button). The viewfinder looks a bit blurry but right away after you press the shutter the picture looks much sharper. This process is similar (not exactly the same) with AF in K750, the different is K750 let you preview the result simultaneously before press the shutter button.
And using sharpening layer or backgrounding elements in a image to process it in a PC just need seconds. Pretty fast.
It doesnt take much time to processing the image, especially at the level 200-300 kb produced by camera phones. The file is quite small for current digital camera standard.

in the comparison by gsm arena s700 is beaten even by nokia 6630 in taking photos in interiors or artificial lights. |

yes, if using autosettings, then sometimes n6630 takes better pictures under inferior conditions than s700. But S700 has the ability to compensate/optimise for conditions using manuel settings, the n6630 doesnt. Therefore in most (not all) situations you will be able to get the best shots using s700 if you try. Both take good pictures, which is better depends on if you are a "point and click only" type of guy or one that dont mind spending an extra 2 sec. selecting the right settings manually.
But since this topic is:
1.3 mp ccd (S700i) or 2.0 mp cmos (k750i)
then lets not turn this into another s700 vs n6630 debate.

REO has the 710 Any questions about this phone ask him! Isn't AutoFocus a lot more than simply making a picture blurry?
