I don't think a battery can get overcharged. Is it possible?

No overcharging wont happen since i think the necessary circuits must be in place to prevent that. I leave my phone on charging every night when i go to sleep and remove it only in the morning, so i have evidence that it wont get overcharged
If at first you don't succeed, destroy all evidence of your attempt !!

Yeah. Charging overnight is the best way to get a fully charged phone for daytime use. I'm sure the K700. Would easily last a day under normal usage.

Hi,

Just a few words from a *very disappointed* K700 user.
This phone may a good technological toy, but don't try to use it as a business, multi-purpose phone.

It's very buggy, the Internet updates don't solve any of the problems. Here are some annoying bugs:
- calls are listed in 'funny' order in call list (but not chronologically !!!!!)
- bad support of HCA-200 car kit (wrong profile recognition, wrong and very annoying backlight behavior)
- PC software collection is a toy for teens : beautiful MMS and sound editor, but completely buggy and slow phone explorer. Does not work better with desk stand DSS-25 ! The outlook sync is the only working thing
- Does not work as an irda modem for a notebook
- Central position of the Joystick is too much sensitive. It's quite impossible to browse the phonebook with up/down without clicking and calling someone else !
- The Sony Ericsson support is one of the worst I have seen for years. It may suit teenager's needs, that's all.
- No caller groups. Is it a Nokia 'copyright' feature ???

Conclusion: This phone has nice features. It has one of the best radio performance on the market (far better than the T610 which was completely deaf). But there are some strong bugs which prevent it from being a good phone, and which aim to prove SE is not as involved in software quality as it is supposed to.

-> DON'T BUY THIS PHONE WITHOUT TRYING IT BEFORE, IN YOUR REAL CONDITIONS, OR YOU MAY BE VERY DISAPPOINTED...

*calls are listed according to the time they were made or received

*Use K700DateiManager - http://k700.hitziger.net or FMA - http://fma.sourceforge.net instead of the slow phone suite which came with the k700

* i really like the soft joy in the k700 because its so easy to use

* and what is caller groups ?

* There are quite a lot of satisfied k700 users on Esato

The battery cannot get over charged. The charger has a trip switch, or something, which stops flow of electricity if a certain voltage/current is reached. I think. At least its supposed to do that [addsig]
