@Rhino: 2 hours on esato gives you 8mb?! You must be posting on each and every thread in sight. 2 weeks of browsing gives me 8mb - and people still think my P800 is glued to my hands!

Rhyno, edit your wap profile and swtch off pictures...you'll see the massive saving this will have. Mosts pics are just a waste of precious megabytes....and phones were not designed with the internet in mind...just give me plain text and smileys and I'm a happy camper.

@ brix: i also deactived the pics on the wap because that will give me cheaper gprs rates and the pictures that loads up are not important but info (text) are important. Only downloading text per page is 2c on Vodacom pre-paid gprs. @ rhin08 when do you unglue your phone from your hand?

Try this experiment for everybody that are using Vodacom pre-paid gprs. Work out how much airtime you use on gprs when you download 10 pages with only text at esato. But first when you logon to wap, make a note how much airtime balance you have then when you finish ,check the balance again.I've got 23c for 10 pages with wap setting pics deactivated.

What you are charged will depend on the size of the pages in question, I believe.

@AYA...I'm replying to you on both African threads. Back to the question... I THOUGHT wap pages were mostly averaging 4k's in size. I speak under correction.

@brix: Usually smaller. Your last post was 1.6kb for example.

@AYA...that's tiny...is there a function in the P800 whereby you can check the size of wap pages? BTW today I saw the Nokia 9500 in the flesh...looks good, albeit a bit big.
