Visit the mobile9 on a PC to have a look at the themes and to obtain the number of the theme you want to download. Then use your S700 to visit the wap verision of the site (http:\\wap.mobile9.com) and follow the instructions, inputting the relevant code to obtain the theme you want.

S7 and k7's OS are the same.
And aside from the above mentioned differences...
Here in the Phil, prices are dropping for both phones. However, I noticed that I don't see alot of s7 anymore, rumor has it the SE stopped producing the handset. Any of you guys know if this is true and why?
And of course, the controversial "S700" does not have the clock screen saver thing.

I have 2 fave sites for my s700 themes:

and
http://mys700.lasyk.net/
You'll spend half of your day browsing their themes. And all of them are for free. I download the .thm files to my PC and just BT them to my phone afterwards.

Salis- Why contrav'sial ? And yes Sony Worlds here atleast aren't selling the S700 anymore. Am not sure of the "why" but the W5 and W9 shouldav sumthin to do with it.

Kinda strange though, even with the w800 out. I am still seeing the k700 in production. I find it strange that the s700 is suddenly gone.

Hi All,
bit of a Ressurection to this thread lol
anyhows just recentley got a S700i which is in a thrashy way, but Im having it re-housed in PINK! 
and since ive been using the phone this week ive come across a few things which I want answered like:
1, What is the PlayNow (Function) used for? when I click it,
it dials the Internet then says theres some connection error 
2, How do I check what Software the phone has on it I can't mema lol
been along time since ive used a basic SE phone (came from the P910i
series and many other series before the T/Z/D) 
3, Does the Sevice light only show up as red? and does it only light up
when charging or somewhat else
Please help guys

When you click on PlayNow the S700i is supposed to dial up and find a selection of ten tunes which you can download and listen to before you buy them. A sort of try-before-you-buy service for the latest mp3 ringtones - not full track downloads. Its a good idea, but I once got burnt, I paid £2.50 for a 10 second ringtone - not very good value in my opinion. The connection error is probably a problem with your wap connection settings.
Software = R * L L * L *.
Not sure about the service light, I can't remember. Mine is at home (I'm at work)

Guys,
'Service light' flashes red when low battery; lights red when charging, turns green at full charge, turns off when you remove charger.....I don't remember mine ever showing service! HTH..... |

btw well nothing happens when I select playNow,
is there some sort of setting I can adjust?
and I still can't master all that keypad action to get the service menu
lol well my service light seems ok for a min I thought it was bust only showing red

Opps! Mistaken identity 
The service menu is just as I said. Don't pay any attention to the screen while pressing the buttons and it will just appear.
Get your wap settings sent again from the  site and it should be ok. Is your wap working otherwise? |

I think it's maybe cos im still half asleep that I cannot get the menu to show
wap works fine but i'll resend the settings anyhows
how come SE have started charging for themes 
ive only got one naff theme on my phone and they really exspect me to pay for more

Yeah! The link should be on the site.
Lasyk.net is another good place, and there are loads on the wap site that are free too.
I like the animated themes the best, though you could never find any others. |
