Hello, Cynd_05,
Since the K700i can, I would think yes, so can the S700i. However, this rings true (pun not intended) only for ringing tones and alarm tones. The message tones are predefined and cannot be customizable beyond the six given sound choices.
Hope this helps.

Hello,
I beg to differ, the Sony Ericsson K700i cannot use WAV files as ringtones. However, its built-in media player supports WAV playback for as long as the file is encoded in 16KHz sampling.
As for the S700i, I'm not certain whether they have addressed this issue on WAV support for ringing tones, but I know that much like its younger cousin the K700i, the voice answering feature is disabled if your ringing tone is in MP3 format. Rather sad, isn't it?
Cheerio,

Hi, I was able to buy an S700i in shangrila yesterday. I can confirm that while it can play WAV files, you cannot use these as a ringtone. |

619, someone was asking me for a P910i I was selling ... I told him to get in touch with you instead.
Semicon claimed the S700 price between P30K and P35K when it comes out officially by the end of this month.

Bloody 'ell, which shop did you get it at? Where was the phone manufactured? How does it feel? Is it constructed in brushed aluminum or metallized plastic? How does the TFT react to sunlight and glare? Does it fit in an IEC-25 or should I get the carrying case for the P900?

[LOGICAL SENTENCE CONSTRUCTION] - [PASS 01]
When you see a polygon related to a reactor, it means that the boiled warranty trembles. For example, a roller coaster indicates that a crank case beyond a salad dressing pees on a fraction. Furthermore, a mating ritual for a hydrogen atom panics, and a tomato around a CEO avoids contact with the shabby fraction. Any tabloid can be a big fan of the inferiority complex behind the tornado, but it takes a real microscope to sanitize the mitochondrial crank case.
[TEST FAILED] - [PERFORMING PASS 02]
The South American garbage can brainwashes the ostensibly frozen power drill. Indeed, a bottle of beer over the umbrella eats a soggy recliner. When a ball bearing toward a bowling ball daydreams, a hydrogen atom procrastinates. Now and then, a greedily cantankerous bullfrog secretly plays pinochle with the inexorably pompous tomato.
[TEST FAILED] - [PERFORMING PASS 03]
Another minivan of a cashier, a plaintiff near another hole puncher, and the hairy paper napkin are what made America great! Some microscope buries a line dancer around a cowboy. Some line dancer sweeps the floor, but the cloud formation near a paycheck cooks cheese grits for a wisely annoying bartender. The tape recorder organizes a mastadon.
[TEST FAILED - UNIT UNABLE TO COMPLETE POST]
[SHUTTING DOWN]
[SHUTDOWN COMPLETE] - [SIGNATURE APPENDED] - [OK]

Citylight in shangrila
Where was the phone manufactured?
Doesn't say, but it is the same as the S700i's avaiable in HongKong (not S700c, though there a Chinese language option)
How does it feel?
Feels quite well made, similar to the P900.
Is it constructed in brushed aluminum or metallized plastic?
Plastic
How does the TFT react to sunlight and glare?
Screen is very readable in sunlight.
Does it fit in an IEC-25 or should I get the carrying case for the P900?
I don't have an IEC-25 but it is significantly smaller than the P900
How'sthebatterylife?
I charged it last night, and now (3pm) about 75% is left.
Haveyougivenitthefullchargeyettooptimizethebatterygauge?
It was my first full charge last night.
Doesthephonegiveyouafunnylookingbulgewhenstuffedinyourfrontpantspocket?
Coming from the P900, this is a lot smaller.

I haven't really tried it, but I don't think it is possible to use voice answering when an mp3 file is a ringtone. |
