Yo ilia i'm having a problem getting over this step 0) you need to have freetype ttf support extension installed and have a x:systemfonts directory;
From where can i download the freetype tff support?? and where does the x:systemfonts go in what directory C?? D??

that's the strange problem of esato i'm experiencing right now - can't type backslash - or maybe i can... fcuk!
ocay, the folder is d:systemfonts, the freetype.sis (that's the name of the file of application FreeType) can be downloaded somewhere at my-symbian.com or here - http://www.symbian.com/developer/downloads/files/FreeType.zip
install it to d: (or c: - no matter), than reboot your p800, after thet copy two files (TTFs) to the folder x:-system-fonts and (after accomplishing the previous steps (like stuff with INI, etc.)) reboot your smartphone - that's all! the new font will be displayed...

i suggest u install the fonts on ur D drive so u can change or delete them easily.
When u want to delete them just remove the ms duo then restart the phone then insert the stick again and u can now delete them.

WOW!!! That's all what I can say. It's amaaaazing what you can do to your P800. I love it. The font is tight, theme is tight, the whole phone is tight. I JUST LOVE IT. Thanks Ilia and everyone for the info provided. If anyone know any other good tricks let us know. Peace out for now. |

man! read the previous page before asking such queastions! on this, the 8th one, i was just helping pimp800 to get all things work in some details. all links (to INI and TTF files, other) are on the previous, the 7th, page of the topic. there you'll find the detailed instructions on doing all the stuff and here on the 8th page - only some more details!
7+8=new font  ! simple!

glad you've finally done that. hope you'll have some time to test the other fonts on the good compatibility (some look just too big or small you know) and will post some very best of them - i just have no more time on such things  ...

the font has to match the SysFnt.ini you put in the c\system\data, if i'm not wrong. |

yes, u'r right.

you should first change the fon't original name (the name which appeares in such pc apps as microsoft word, excel, adobe photoshop, etc.). use font creator 4.1 (link on a previous page).
