Well, thatīs my point.
Do you have a crystal ball that calculates actual life span of yet to be released phones or what?
Now I mean life span as in service life before getting past the point of being able to be repaired, not as in wow-factor gone because there are newer models out, maybe we ought to get this straight first?

i dont have no crystal ball but a sensitive mind.... and i tell you this much, why do you think that a celluar phone will "die" after a while?

ok it will get unmodern, and the wow-factor will fade, but i cant see how the phone would stop working after a while, if you are careful with it, avoiding water and other damages, it could live for ever...

i got a phone from -88 in my closet, and it still works fine (if i charge the battery)

my son is sleeping now, in oct he will be 8 month

QUOTE: "a T68 lives about 3-4 years, depending on how you treat them, the T610 also lives 3-4 years (with good treatment of corse) and the Z600 lives 5-6 years."

So, just what exactly do you mean by "lives"?? Take the t610, what happens after 4 years? Does it blow up? Stop working, or just get out of style? If you mean gets out of style, i guess you can predict "life span" of a phone, if not, iīd say you would have to be some kind of psychic to reliably predict anything!
Especially on things not yet publicly available

*** Warning! Critical Error!!! Your T68 has now lived for 4 years, 364 days, 23 hours, 59 minutes, and 30 seconds. It will self-destruct in 30 seconds!!! Please throw the phone clear of any people. Enjoy your next purchase from Sony Ericsson! ***

based on earlier theories, this will change for newer models... so... Warning!!! your T610 has now lived for 6 months, 3 weeks, 2 days, 16 hours 48 minutes and 15 seconds. It will self destruct in one minute. Please throw it nearest to your government building as you possibly can....

If we accept the theory, and graph the projected lifespan of the phone against the release date, we will see that the lifespan decreases exponentially to the realease date of the phone. If we extend the graph, we will see that in 3 years, the average lifespan of the phone will be 15 minutes and 30 seconds
If I had all the answers, I wouldn't have any questions.
