Do you like T610's design |

The T300 is not just ugly in pictures. I've tried it several times and it is way too plastic-like. It feels like a big case with nothing inside. The only reason why anyone would by this phone in stead of the T68i is because you can't afford the real thing or because you want to show off with some polyphonic ring tones! The design sucks and the overall SE phone sales confirms this. Just open your eyes and look at what is happening to the company. They are losing money right now and both Sony and Ericsson have several times injected billions into the company to cover the loss. Their hardware is great but the new design doesn't sell. What's keeping them alive right now and for the next years are phones like the T68, P800 and not to forget their wide range of technology patents. Ericsson have several contracts with countries concerning implementation of UMTS and 3G.
I care a lot for design and people who now me are very aware of this. The T610 will never be a suit phone. It's only attractive to teenagers and people who don't care about design. The T68 looked great in pictures before you actually saw it in real life. The T610 does not. If you want a cheap-looking plastic phone - go ahead! |

maybe they arent focussed on developing phones for teenagers..
The features are incredible though! I know from having a sony z5 that sony has always focused on the "businessman". Not so much on the teenagers. Nokia for a long while owned that market.
I can see now from the features that sonyericsson is changing this. They want to give there phones the class that a businessman wants, and the fun the teenager wants. I believe this phone might just do the trick. I wasnt to trilled about the design in the beginning, but you should take a look at productpage on the sonyericsson site, you'll begin to actually like the design and see that its perfect.
Instead of creating this nice looking buttons which actually suck when it comes to pressing them (nokia has this with some phones like 8810, to damn small)then design them so they are easy to use. No bullshit, just press the buttons and go.
I liked my sony z5 for a long time, it was incredibly small and easy to use, the jogdial was great. I now own the t68 (soon to be t68i ) And i'm stunned with the features, I like it way more then the z5
I believe that the t610 will do the same when I try to get my hands on it. The phone is nice and small, not the gameboy sizes you see from the siemens sx1 and the nokia 7210. But it does almost have all the same features!
I'm really impressed by these phones so I LIKE EM! |

I must realy say I love the design of the T610. I think the design is classic style, no curve or edge too much. It will perfecty fit to my iPod. In my eyes iPod and T610 are the style. My style |

@Snipey
Have already seen the product page. Mobile phones is one of my small hobbies. As I've already mentioned the features are great but the design is not. I don't just post messages based on a quick glance at a photo! |

The t300 is ugly when you first see it. But when you have it and use it u will see it's the best phone shape you will ever have it's not small and not big it's perfect in your hand

Nice features but it's way too square. Reminds me of an old TV remote. I keeping my T68i.

I do like the design, although I will qualify that until I have seen the phone "in person" as opposed to only having seen photographs.
More importantly, I plan to buy one to replace my T68i. |

Good Professional Looking phone. A refreshing change. So, Yes, I like it.
I believe as well, that SE DID give some thought to the feature set of this phone. With the release of T610, SE will have not 1, but 2 flagship phones, the aforementioned and the P800. So it had to be careful to balance out the feature-set of both, and also to determine the market segment it phone is targeted at.
The way I see it, the SE T610 is suppose to be the Nokia 6xxx killer, while the P800 is targeted at people who want a convergence device.

It's like say the phones doesn't look like any other you have seen. Is it bad? No they are not scared of doing new things, and I admire that, it's like with BMW, some people like the design Bangle (7-series, Z4) has come up with but some don't. In the end we all might get used to it, and after a while we will maybe like it too. My point is that if there is no development on the design front we would still have phones looking like the gh688 .
The aluminium finnish on the phone will probably be nice to feel. The screen is stunning, and the rest of the phone too. So where is the problem? Just the design? (If yes): Did you have that big demands for 5years ago, and did you complain about it then? |
