What's crazy is how not very big this phone is for a 5.5 inch screen. A real great design & I really don't notice any slow down at all. battery life is too early to say but camera is definately sharper and faster than G2

@aussieland1 I think the screen is fine in sunlight. The LG UI is alot lighter than before & has some really clever and nice touches to it.

You are right the as soon as I set my screen brightness on auto it became readable in sun light. I have to confess that with Samsung is set by default to auto so I didn't even think to check
Camera while is very fast if I find that it produces too over processed images - even more so than Samsung
The LG launcher is not bad however I replaced it with kit kat one- much nicer IMO |

I will say though the screen colours on the G2 were better more saturated without being over saturated. The G3 is a bit more pale colours

Well,so far it's terrible compared to the amazing G2 battery the G3 drops like a stone need I even say what the cause of that is,QHD

It seems decent on mine but because I have 3 phones I am not using it so heavily as Bonovox most likely |

Bonobos, I think you should send me the phone. It probably needs some Caribbean sunshine to improve the battery life.. Hehe.

I am a heavy user yes and the G2 lasted me ages the best Droid battery life I ever had until KitKat ruined it. The G3 am sorry to say is awful. I don't have tons of things running or using all the battery draining features at once. I must also say the screen is nothing special there seems to be pale colours and a strange over sharpening going on somewhere whatever LG has done it's awful. The phone itself is great and love the camera. But I really must say QHD is a waste of time I've tried it and should have got the Lumia 930 instead as I liked it when I seen one in an O2 store. Phones4U are selling the Lumia 930 for £439. But anyway there's just something about the G3 that isn't right at all. And no to some sunshine as the phone gets rather hot too which never happened on the G2 again it's that screen

Thank you Bonovox! I was going to ask whether it is or not worth to ditch the Note 3 for this one.
Now you saved med my jump service from T-mobile

Well you know me being critical but I would buy the G2 over the G3 and even the Note 3 which is miles better than the G3. I do love the camera and the build quality is much better than the G2. The G2 had a creaky back case. Also despite LG's stripped down UI I don't know what the hell they do with their background running stuff. But the G3 same as the G2 on KitKat just uses way too much ram. In standby I had just over 200mb left of ram where in say the S4 or S5 on KitKat I would have over half a gig of ram free. It's a mess. LG could have had the chance to really make the G3 shine and be 3 times better but they rushed it. It has great points but one of them sadly is not the screen or battery life. LG can do better

Well, every app (including background ones) is going to use more RAM on a QHD device in comparison with a full HD one. How much more? - it depends on the particular app. |

I also have G3 and :
1) i don't what Bonovox is running in the background but i have more than 450 mb available in standby. It is not ad good as Note 3 but that one had 3gb of RAM. There is a 32 gb version of G3 that has 3gb of RAM
2) Battery might not be as good as Note 3 but it is far from terrible. With light to medium usage i easily get a day and a half-2 days
3) screen imo has a poor contrast and viewung angles not as good as Note 3 however qhd is definitely not a waste of time- high resolution photos, videos makes a big difference imo
4) camera while the focus is extremely fast i am not a afan of the results - they are not bad but are too overprocessed imo more so than Samsung's.
IMO if you are not in a hurry i would wait for the autumn when Note 4 and possibly other phones with qhd screens will come out. For now in my own experience LG G3 is by far not as bad as Bonovox makes it out to be
