what kind of nonesense speak is that now?
I've had many HTC WM and Android devices. Please explain what "much more to do and more features" there are as it sounds like I have missed something?
Having had even the SGS2 for a couple of months I didn't find I missed anything on that after I sold it and continued with iphone 4?
I think people have a use for a smartphone and most smartphones fulfill the needs. Its more the usability that makes the difference and itunes provides that for me personally as I can consolidate all my content in a single location and sync it as required. I never found that yet with any other device.
People keep trying to compare one phone with another but these days its so much more than that, as in this latest news and availability "next week!" regarding the iPhone 4s and icloud and Siri and music match and...

Said many a times im not against apple
I just seem to find iOS boring its not as good as
Googles system at the end of day if apple let it blossomed
Abit then I might have a other thoughts into it!
Anyway of to sleep bub bye
Masseur In term of differences I think live wallpapers
And the more of customisation in android compared with iOS
Unless jailbroken of course but voids warranty.
Got a iTunes app already on my htc
Its a vodafone one but again its good cos it tells you about
The artists
Also that app on iPhone where you can wifi stuff on tv photos
To tv etc and more on here to inbuilt on phone!
Htc isnt a iPhone but sure is like it
Try it out Mass

I'll ask you too Miss UK, what customisation is it that you do so often on HTC devices (which I've already explained I have trialled at length) that is important to you that cannot be done on iOS? I've given up on jailbreaking since the iOS 5 notifications, and hotspot functionality came in as that was pretty much all I used it for.
btw, sounds like you're an ad for why Apple are suing other companies...
as someone said earlier... I'm no Apple fan and never have been. I have an iPhone and only have a MACBOOK as its the only development platform available... other than that my gear is mostly Sony (Vaio etc) with some Samsung (TV, bluray) and Philips(hifi) etc... but I think after 26 years of using mobile phones and being a gadget freak and an IT expert I have a fairly clear and balanced idea of where technology in this area is going... not that I am always right of course as I absolutely never expected to have an iphone in the first place! but here we are... actually after T68i, T610, Z700, K800 I couldn't have imagined leaving but here we are... and time moves on and changes us all...

@masseur ... one word. widgets. The single most important aspect that made me choose android over iOS. I own almost all Apple products, EXCEPT the iPhone. It felt like a step backwards from UIQ.
I do own an iPod Touch 4, because I do like the iOS simplicity... but not enough to make it my main productivity tool. My iPod is mainly for FaceTime calls, and my iPad is for guests so they don't monkey around with my computers when they wanna surf or check Facebook. For over-all UI, I do like Android a whole lot more.
I'm not bashing iOS or the iPhone, like you said it all boils down to personal preference. I was just highly disappointed with THIS particular announcement.
This was the first Apple announcement that put me to sleep. (Mind you, I was excited when iOS 4 was announced)
Voice commands? Really? I've been using Sir...er... VLingo for ages and I don't need to press a button for it to respond to my commands. Siri sounds like an 80's computer!!! Wow... just got sucked back into the Automan days (that reference was for anyone that actually remembers that cheesy show)
The iPhone 4S announcement felt like the iPhone 1 announcement... when Apple was 2 years behind everyone else. Retina Display is no longer top dog, processor speed is only average, camera is pretty much the same, voice commands are nothing new...keynotes were beyond boring. The "stolen iPhone 5" thing overhyped what turned out to be nothing.
I had the iPhone 1, that was sad... I tried again with the 3... eh... almost, but not quite. The iPhone 4 was a huge surprise... everything about it exceeded expectations. It almost made me switch! But customizability was still an issue and my iPod Touch 4 gave me the best of both worlds. There was nothing important an iPhone 4 user could do that my iPod Touch couldn't. I was looking forward to an iPhone 5.
Steve Jobs got more excitement from announcing the new iTunes icon than all of them did with all the "new features" they announced. Even if it was just on sheer presentation... this was disappointing.

iphone 5 will doubtless be along with quadcore and new hardware summer next year. It will be a great phone.
However, quad core Androids running ICS (maybe even 'Jellybean') and Wp7s will be well developed by then. I expect the playing field will be a lot more level then than it was, say, this time last year. It actually feels level now.
That is good for the consumer and good for the market. After that, choose what suits you best, we all have our own reasons for the consumer choices we make and not many are motivated by.fan boy impulses IRL. |

Android has more customization options than iOS but end of the day both work same. Live wallpaper is good but it also drain battery fast. I've both iPhone4 and an android phone right now. The thing I hate on android system is memory management. I need an app to close apps and after close, they run automatically on background and eating memory without your concern. But in iOS; memory management is far far good, even I could say best.
Please consider Facebook app for both platforms. Term of smooth and quality is better on iOS than android.
Browsing is super fast on iOS. I've more than 6000 songs. I can manage these easily with iTunes.
Name one major thing that people can't do with iPhone that can do with android (except file transfer).
Yes I also hate iOS because of doesn't allow to transfer files through Bluetooth. I don't know why on earth apple doesn't allow that.
People like me paid premium price for factory unlocked iPhone. iPhone not only looks premium. when you use it, you also feel premium experience with your fingers because of smoothness and way it works.

hmmm............... call someone or receive call from someone? Browse Net or use net based apps anywhere without wifi....
You hate iPhone but you like iPod touch. basically without calling option both are same. So it doesn't make sense. End of the day, you paid for iOS to apple. Why? name one thing that android can't do that your iPod touch do? Why you bought iPod touch when you have already an android that can do all things and has more customization options?

Can u change Qwerty on iPhones also !
they both do Apps pretty Similar,
But Android may always have the upper hand when
It comes to Rapido.
They offer more devices for more individuals
