No flash support, yet again? (correct me if im wrong please) I know Apple dont really jump up and down for Flash, but come on....
And I read some where, 100 new features? lol, 100? I find that hard to believe? Are we talking 100 actual NEW features that we havent seen before? Or features missing from previous iphones, that we have had in other devices for a while? Which Apple will market as new features and have the general public get sucked into the hype...
Im personally not interested in the iphone, never have been, I have my reasons. Itunes being on of them. I hate it!
Not a big fan of the design. Doesnt draw my attention to be honest, cant really put my finger on why though. Plain? Too squarish? Dont know....

@miss uk, not really. I used to buy a new phone every 2-3 months if you recall, but now I need only buy 1 a year 
@>500, many sites are being redesigned to use the more open standard of html5 rather than the proprietry solution. I can see Apples point of view and I can't say ni my years of using the iphone its been a major issue to be honest.
and yes, the 100 new features count covers hardware and software.

I think the iPhone is far to expensive on Contract they make you pay 30+ for it for 24months I think it's about time the networks reduced it cos it seems all your paying for is the brand name!
iPhones are cheaper in America walmart was charging $100 dollars for them a few weeks ago online!
but in Europe there just overpriced ok there nice and that and i guess it's the whole aspect of apps that make people want one but it needs to come down in price abit

I some how believe that they make Europeans pay more because Europe has more consumer friendly laws like being able to get the phone unlocked by the network after a time. ATT is not required to unlock the phones after a time.

Apple once again is just taking advantage of the consumer with ridiculous pricing either locked or unlocked.

about video call.
One of the limiting factors is / was price. I remember "trying" it back on 3 UK when it was new years ago, but it cost like 50p a minute which was quite expensive and the quality was not that good.
The use of WiFi is a nice idea from this standpoint as the cost wouldn't come off your plan. Use your existing wifi at home or free one out and about. (Doesn't O2 give you free wifi as well with their plan?)
I wonder how much this would cost over 3G? Would it be charged per minute like back in the day or will be it be charged out of your data plan. If you have an unlimited data plan than probably ok, but imagine a limited amount and paying £pounds a MB or whatever can be quite costly for that video call. Imagine how much data that screen size at 30fps or whatever must use.
Mind you I wonder if the networks can take it. People are already using more data services now and video calling would surely overload it? Probably another reason for using wifi for the time being.
Also, another trick here is it is an application (open standard to be) so in theory, I would not be surprised to see apple introduce this into say iChat on the Mac so you could phone from iPhone to home computer or vice versa. 3rd parties might write other apps for other platforms and stuff.

I remember o2 charged the same as voice calls and they came out of your allowance. Not sure if its still the same now though |

So what if Nokia and SE invented them? Have they actually made something for people to use video call more? No, they just included it on their phones. Nothing interesting than actually seeing that other person you are calling and the other way around.

iphone 4 to iphone 4 video calling - crap really i mean if  done it they would be laughed it but apple have such a good reputation and the phones to die for, that simply why people accept it, and 3g facetime is coming soon which should let you talk to other smartphone brand users (depending on the network?)
