cant' believe that my phone has an aperture of f/3! which is better, f/2.6 (Elm); f/2.8(Cybershots); or f/3?
with my little knowledge about aperture the less the number you have the bigger your lens open and let more light goes to the lens which is important if you want to take a night shots

Bigger numbers mean more light gets to the sensor, but its not as simple as that because if the Elm has a bigger sensor it will collect more light than your phone. Also, the greater the number (F Stop) the shallower the depth of field (less of the picture is in focus)

Nice sony ericsson family.
@hihihans
Perfect angle, friend. Is that you playing with it?
@mriley
Thank you for your information. Thats really helpful. So lesser the f/ value, better is the performance of camera. BTW we are waiting for your entry.

so you guys mean that the Elm is the best for night shots? too bad!
@hans nice shot! though it's somewhat out of focus...

it doesn't always means elm is better for night shots...
but how the software handles the aperture,ISO and SS is the matter
always bigger sensor takes more light as possible than increasing the sensitivity to reduce the noise but depth of field plays role here too...
