Maybe you can borrow a friend's elm and check if the signal is still the same. Have you contacted Sony Ericsson about this? My signal is good everywhere else besides my room, all my phones have a hard time getting signal here anyways.

The signal problem is the same on 3G & GSM. I live in high very strong coverage on every network in my area. Previous phones all have strong signal that barely fluctuates even downstairs but the Elm is terrible everywhere. It's the worst signal I ever had & it is alot to do with the antenna being in the bottom of the phone & perhaps firmware will fix this but who knows. I have used a Nokia phone since & the signal is solid everywhere even on T Mobile downstairs in my house so it is the Elm it's the main bad point of this phone & from experience it does affect call quality depending on which network you use. The GSM call quality on Vodafone or O2 being worse

Have you not read my previous posts? Read them please. I clearly stated that my Elm has poor signal on 3G and GSM. Every area everywhere i go. My area where i live has fantastic coverage on every network on 3G and GSM except Vodafone which have no 3G here. But using every network sim on the Elm signal is terrible compared to other phones. Often showing only one to two bars. On other phones in my house i have full coverage even downstairs. On the Elm i dont on either frequency.

I actually find the Elm signal quite good. Maybe you can just wait for updated firmware that may fix that and the dreaded blue and orange lines on the camera |

got mine working fine, signal reception is the same as my K770i and J105i.
I've read that you got 2 of em with failure at the signal, wondering why?

seems ELM suffers of quite many "child diseases".............
sure, its a cool phone, but to be real honest, its feels pretty weak when you hold it in your hand............(yes i've tried many times)
its a good mid-end phone......i think the best point, is its manufactured in recycled material (i hope...he he)

for me, the phone is almost perfect if only it was equipped with a xenon.
the only problem is it's accelerometer.
mine aren't calibrated well, it's not centered.
the x are -384 when the phone are at center.
i really hope service center can recalibrate it.
