it is not possible. the w302 is S2.

www.totalgsm.org offers the flashing service for these phones.

Worked like a charm on my girlsfriends W890i, however I had a few problems with a configuration error, but that was solved by installing a customized firmware. This could have been a bit more clear in the tutorial I belive...

Something like a to-do list would be cool...!

WHAT TO DO BEFORE ANYTHING
- download A2 File Access
- download the correct firmware
- download customized firmware

and then begin... Luckily I don't panic that quick, otherwise I'd just have thrown to phone out of the window!

Besides that... great tutorial... again, worked like a charm!

I keep wavering between updating, and not updating my G705 to the latest firmware with SEUS because it will upgrade to CID53.

Is the new A2Uploader fully compatible with 53?

It's not fully compatible, i'd say it's 90% compatible:

@Tommen: it'll depend on the customo you've used to finalize the phone.

Hello tranced!

I've reading your post, and getting more and more confident about flashing my g705.

Objective 1:
- Change CDA and SEUS my g705 to WESTERN-EUROPE version
- if above fails, flash MAIN and FS downed from topsony

Some things:
a) I've used A2 uploader and it reports my g705 as a CID0052 (not 53!!!)
b) CDA is 1208-4726 R1BA038 which was updated by SEUS to the latest firmware R1EA033
c) I googled and downed G705_R1DE001_MAIN_GENERIC_KM_RED53 and G705_R1DE001_FS_WESTERN-EUROPE_RED53
d) I googled and found out about two different CDAs for WESTERN-EUROPE 1217-0536 and 1209-4774

Questions:
1) If I just change the CDA via Customize_upgrade.xml will SEUS update the firmware, since I already have the latest?
2) If I just flash the thing with the MAIS/FS combination will it work on my CID52 phone?

Thanks in advance
Cheers

hi

uploading a new cda to your phone is very easy so you wont fail in this . well, in case you do, then you wont have any problem.

as you said your phone is CID52, you cannot use a CID53 MAIN or FS

Two things...
1) I found out that 1217-0536 stands for Customized_Germany... will I end up with a german phone? and 1209-4774 is also used for a c510 model... now I'm worried!!!
2) back to googling for CID52 firmwares,... anyone got a hint/clue?

Thanks in advance.

1- SEUS will read the CDA numbers and your phone. So, it'll update your phone according to the CDA numbers. You will need a generic CDA for your region(Portugal, right?). Here you will find a list.

2- 4shared.com is your friend.
