I tried to register at davinci team, but as i understand after search the entire site, the login data is related to the credits purchase, dont know if they sent you an email with this information (look on your email inbox or spam for incoming emails). |

So any guide on how to use davinci? there doesnt seem to be a 'flash DB3150' just 'flash DB2020'
edit: found a pdf!
how do i make sure it flashes both filesystem & main?
Also, would you recommend davinci or kk?

based on my experience.. KK is easier to use.. and it's fast.. it will only take you like 5-10 mins.. |

I personally found Davinci easier to use and more intuitive. I couldn't figure out KK so I didn't use it even though it was cheaper. Buy 10 credits, login to site, download client, logon to client and select which FW you want to use.

Just to inform you that KulanKendi has already got the latest R1EA037 firmware on the server. KulanKendi is easy to use. Trust me. I had posted the step before.. |

Well, i've just reflashed with davinci to 031, same CDA as before.. and all went fine.
Phone's back on and guess i'll go to 037 now..both are BROD sensitive so it doesnt really matter..

Just had my first random reboot after owning this phone for 2 days. Ugh!
Would anyone recommend using R1DA038 as a "safe" firmware to downgrade to via. KulanKendi? I need some insight - the last time I owned a K850i was during the R1CA029 era... lol.. thanks! |

Well, f*** you SE. I just had my second BROD. Really sudden, no other resets in the past month. I had R1EA037. The phone was on the table, nobody was using it.
I managed to start the phone again only after a reflash from DaVinci.
So 3 f*** yous to SE:
1. For not being able to correct this shitty problem YET.
2. For not offering for free what DaVinci offers for 10 euros.
3. For losing all my data every time this crap phone decides to die.
These guys at SE are really big imbeciles.
omg... serious??????
i think u need to change ur signature? =P
LOL Indeed!
I think SE sales for the next few quarters are going to be slim pickings with ANY A200 phone due to K850i issues.

Question when the phone reboots from BROD successfully rebooting on its own is the D-Pad counter reset?

One month and 3 days of daily use with R1DA038 and only 4 freezes so far. It's true that I actually turn it off/back on once a day (or two days, if I forget) to reset and free the memory. I read that the battery life is poor with this FW version, but this is how I bought the phone so I can't compare. I was willing to upgrade ONLY because I want my battery to last longer, other than this I had no other major issues with it.
I am recommending it as safe based on my personal experience.
K850i was the SE's most superb phone. And failure. Advanced to Android. |
