Keep getting logged out of Esato! |

My problem is that SAIX, SA Internet Xchange, routes connections through some proxies "Transparent" which send a different IP to Esato, and Esato used the IP address to maintain the session, so if the IP changes then the session dies.
SAIX users should try and set a proxy if certain websites - PHP based forums for example - do not work correctly. The reason is that SAIX transparently routes their users through various proxy servers, which results in IP address switching. Some websites do not work correctly if the IP address of an end user changes throughout an interaction with the website. Setting an a web browser to use a proxy server will overcome this problem.

Well this problem for me got sorted a long time ago. But no, it isnt because of the IP. My router gets a new IP every time i connect and i no longer get logged out.

Well most likely you service provide sends thier proxy IP to esato which is always the same thus you don't get logged off. |

Whenever I change IP, 'Logout' button become 'Login' and I should type user and pass again if I want to post sg, but the board still shows my status as online, and if I change back to previous IP everything is fine. that means session cookie isn't died. |

Okay yes its not dead for the old ip so the new ip is seen as the session.
Anyway fixing my connection through one proxy helped me.
So whether you agree that ip is the problem i don't care.

Still have this here and I've moved house and also changed my internet provider and still happens.
And its still happening when I log on via Esato Wap and also the new Esato Mobile addresses.
Tis sooo annoying.

Nope, sorry! If you read through the entire thread you'll see that it happens on mac, linux and even mobile phones using the HTML lite version of Esato.
We can't blame Mr. Gates for this one

Just tested Mr Miyagi's claim and I downloaded and have been using Safari for the last 3 days. Each time I come to Esato I'm already logged in on Safari wheras with IE7 I still have to sign in.

I've finally managed to stay logged in! I'm using Firefox 3 on the Mac, which is the only browser Esato will work properly in (I tried Safari, Camino and Firefox 2 - all failed).

Biggest frustration with esato.
Hello!! Any Moderator there?
Ramdomly I am able to login. I never know if I am login or logout. The button doesn't matter
Every time when I want to post a message I flp a coin to guess if it will go or I will be asked for my password again regardless if the button says login or logout.
I use windows explorer 7 or MSN browsers
I have no idea if this post will go or not.

WOW!!
It worked!.. even that the button says that I must login.
The big problem is that if this doesn't go YOU NEVER will know.
Anyone has the same problem?
I visit quite a few other forums I always use the same Id and password but this is the only site that I never know if I am in or out after I type my password.
