That's definitely firmware bug!
I discovered it earlier on and found that it's very frustrating to reset the Manual Eq settings everytime we move into the Walkman Interface..
Tried on the other W910i, same problem....
SO, only hope is to wait for the new firmware to be released... |

which probably isn't going to come out. Generally for big companies you have to add like several months to their release dates.. cos they lie! |

Unfortianatly not. Sounds like your going to have to take it back, they might give you a replacment phone.
JJC did you use the davinci team program to flash your phone? This is exactly what happened to my W910i when I tried it. I have been emailing them, but it's been five days without a reply now.
andr3w1984 you're sure it's beyond repair? I think the moral of the story here, if anyone cares to know, is that davinci is not one to trust. I am pissed off as hell, but what can I do except slag them off on forums  |

Ive just updated my W910 on 02 it was unbranded and have never had any of the problems others have had.My wife has a W910 on t-mobile that has the operation failed bug.A reset fixed this and upgraded the software with the sony software.I dont think there is any problem with the W910 i think the problem lies with the operators crap software that they put on the phone. |

hi, i just got my w910i unbranded, andi checked out its firmware, it is the first one i think tis rc1a029 i know for sure hte last 2 digits are "29" so how do i update to the latest one? cosi jsut went ont my fone n went update via online, and the fone went online ,but it said i have the latest..... is that rite?

I currently have the first release firmware on my phone, whenever i try SEUS, it says no update availble, why cant i update to the R1CA039 firmware?

My Walkman button stopped working a while and it didn't work from the main menu either. then i updated it and there was an update available and the problem was solved, my walkman button worked fine.
Now my games and applications say operation failed when i try to access them. I tried to update but it says no update available. can someone help please??
i have R1DA38 version on my phone. My phone is locked to vodafone.

I donīt recommend to update whit new release R1DA038(SEUS).
I lost some files from phone, installed aplication and big clock on display donīt work anymore and when i turn off Orange desktop aplication and then turn on, phone says not enought memory and this messege is always shown. Then i did the master reset and i lost all themes which was supplied whith phone....

Yeh. The Vodafone update seems a little dodgy. But i'm talking the update that will preceed the R1CA039 that most generic W910i's use through SEUS.
I haven't had any experience with flashing a phone again. But I am sure that there is a solution to flash the W910i again with the same firmware. |
