one more photo taken with k550i stock driver .....

I think k550i camera module is superb for taking macro shots ..... it does better than my sony's 6mega pixel digicam s600 !!!

No S600 stil better than any camphone matey, just look at the pics i've taken with a Sony S40 Digicam, with it's 1:3.8 aperture rating it's no wonder why K550 takes superb macros! since the smaller the aperture the depth of field is shallower.

Thanx 4 that info ..... What I meant was the case of only extreme close ups mate ........ In all other modes , S600 excells ......

But I think K550i has a 1:3:2 aperature .... not 1:3:8

Thanks for correction matey

AFAIK just like S40, S600 has no dedicated macro mode, but instead it uses Autofocus's closest range limit to make close-up pictures that's why it looses to k550 in extreme macro just imagine if SE could use the same CCD and Carl-Zeiss on K550 how would that be?

another thing was that the small aperture helps the camera to focus even on it's closest range. just imagine samsung cameras that has no autofocus(X820,U100,F300) still manages to make close-up shots well. it's because of the relatively small aperture

add to that a sony CCD sensor of at least 1.2/5" size. no other cam phone can beat that if released

one more of my favourate pics taken with the k550i stock cam driver ....

focus is infinity and picture quality fine

I don't think changing the compression rates has succeeded ....... Why increase the file size if we can't improve the picture clarity in terms of at least noise in the photos ???

3 more photos made with the 2.3 stock camera driver. They are 2 Megapixel macro's.

As someone sad before, the lower compression wil not make qualitative photos only bigger sizes.

A question for Sonarik: Can you modify the gui version of the camera. (the interface)

@ kelace: Not because the stock driver is bad per se. Its just that it doesn't judge exposure properly.. so its more prone to blurring due to my hand shaking...

Check out my photoblog: it has some nice pics...

I don't understand how possible Twilight Landscape (AdvancedMacro™) gonna to used for macro, as in 2.35, Twilight Landscape is only Infinite, macro focus isn't possible to be selected.

- Twilight Landscape (AdvancedMacro™): a mode of shooting from distance 5cm. Manual focus, is it possible to change.
