I must be doing sonmething seriously wrong with my k810i then.

The pictures I have taken look nowhere close to as good as these. Tried changing the white balance, picture modes, quality, size, flash. They still turn up with a grainy look usually unsharp.

@Tranced

Those are superb in comparison. Majority of my pictures have been taken sometime during the night (or in the failing light). But I would think they woul turn out better. I'll just scamper off and take a for examples.

Alright.

These three were taken pretty much everything taken on auto. They were at 3 MP and high quality of course.

It's pretty dark cause it's Sweden...We pretty much live in the dark.

*EDIT*
Should add that I am probably pretty bad at photography.

plankgatan also lives in Sweden and he gets good pics. well, your pics look average tbh. it'd be better to take daylight pics. as you can see, the las pic taken by manfran looks a bit grainy because it was under artificial light and indoor too. so dont be worry at all. take a daylight pic and we'll judge.

Well first off, you have to upgrade to the latest firmware via SE's upgrade service.
Second, make sure you use the autofocus properly. The rectangle has to be on the object you want to focus on. Press the camera button slightly to focus, wait for the green rectangle (and for the "beep") and then push it all the way down to capture. (for close shots, use Macro focus)
Third, make sure you use the white balance options frequently in order to get the best shots. Don't just put it on Auto all the time. That's one of the most important options.
Also, use the "Scenes" options.
