Solution to flash and change CDA of P990 at home! |

Or indeed, conversely how easy and quick such a process is.
In my case, i would have gladly offered some of our resident unlockers the work to carry out the job were it not for the fact that i can't do without the phone for more than a day. The fact that its a simple and single credit for the CDA change is just a bonus.

@mike p
already read that and the use of question marks prompted me to post the thread asking if anyone can confirm!!
I have another credit on its way (don't know when though santa might beat it!) and your welcome to that if everything goes ok this end!

Ah right, if you had put that link in your post I would have known what I was confirming and wouldn't have replied with that page
Best of luck with the W950i.

Well, after 30 hours from payment I finally received the password and immediately flashed my Vodafone branded P990i. All went well, I have to thank here to everyone that made this possible, most of all to ares and spectre77 and of course to KulanKendi! It's like having another phone! The branding was so profound I have to learn to use again all the menus! And for the first time I'm able to see those transitions, I didn't know what you were talking about before, but this doesn't mean the phone was faster!
Thanks again and good luck to those about to try, it's worthed because it really is a great improvement!
One more thing, it's useless to remove the SIM, I did the flash and the upgrade afterwards with the SIM in the phone most of all because you know what a pain it is to remove the cover...
Also do the firmware upgrade twice, for some reason it's faster the second time and goes all the way to 100% (the first time it stops and asks to remove the cable earlier, but the phone works OK anyway).

You're most welcome. But I really think that the all the credit should go to the person who has made this possible (Mr. KulanKendi). So I have made a new thread in the gsmhosting forum just to say thank you to kulankendi and really think that you guys should give out some comments too. I really think that he deserves it.
p/s: good to hear everything worked out well for you adara.
cheers guys. |

well i guess it'll work on the m600 too eh (in theory of course). this is indeed very good news for all uiq3 users. although we have yet to see if anyone has tried to change their cda on an m600. |
