hi guys i really need some my k800i is dead as well and iv tried everything i intsalled the latest version of the pc suite all the drivers and everything. I have tried and worked with my k750i but no luck with this 1 i tried wotan without a credit holding c and 2+5 over and over again but always says waiting and doesnt go any further i tried kulan but it doesnt even run i noticed if i hold the power button in 4 like a minute white screen comes up but dies again can any one help PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!! |

Is it 2+5 or "C" (Since it says: Connect your phone, pressing "C") that I should press? If its 2+5 why I'am I getting that error?

and alter other setting" ?

Thanks to you my dead K750 (W800 firm) is back from dead !!
*Note*
For those who are having trouble like I have regarding computer not being able to install USB Device Driver after connecting the phone. Like the other have replied, I needed to download and install 'Update Service'. After that everything was recognized and worked great! I didn't even needed a reboot.

Hm, What did you do to make that WSOD? WSOD with R3A016 is very seldom.
If you want EROM update it should be 2 5 keys together. Have no idea why some ppl get this error when using 2 5 keys. Your phone is recognised by the software as proved by using c keys. Why don't you ask wotan tech support?
You may want to try kulan kendi (www.kulankendi.com). It also offer the same service but seems that a bit differ on the 2 5 key sequence that need pressing (read the manual first).
Well as we can read, update CID on kulan need 1 account. Pay 7euro to update it. Or using the SEUS (SE Update Service Software) and it will update it for free.

I've connected the phone to da PC via USB.. so the phone restart, but it didn't get in as usual. Instead, it turn out to be pure white blank. And thats all da color I can see in da screen since last monday 
I don't know if I've done something wrong there.
I've done da Update Service but it came up with :
Update Not Available (The Software In Your Phone Is Up To Date)
Frankly, I dun even remember when I've done update since I bought this K800i. Never done this before, still... it's up to date
So, I still need to do with kulankendi to upgrade this CID stuff? Wotan can't do anything?
Btw, thanx Hanuguro for replyin... it helped me a bit 
And..do you have any suggestion? any other plan?

Have you tried kulan kendi? It used to be using kulan/kendi in user/password combination and it will work but have no idea now. You may need to buy account first.
Well, I have few suggestion. You may want to download XS++ 3.1 (completely free) and have 2 options. Use c key as XS++ don't know how to handle 2 5 keys. (you may want to go to http://www.topsony.com and http://forums.se-nse.net/index.php?showforum=76 as well)
1. You may want to try to update EROM FOTA. This is not the same as EROM that is being talked in this thread but guy from Top Sony say that it can do the same thing ( http://www.topsony.com/forum/showthread.php?t=298 ). However I have never done this so can't confirm. This is for your K800 CID49 ( http://www.zshare.net/download/51436766f72b23/ ). You will then put the EROM FOTA in MAIN FW and flash your phone with it.
2. You may want to completely flash your phone with XS++. Don't know whether it help but you may try anyway. Ppl say that it won't help dead phone but maybe it will help WSOD.
BTW, the only proved way to revive dead/WSOD phone is using update EROM with 2 5 keys with kulan kendi/wotan, etc. Don't know whether above method work but you may try especially because it is free.
Well RED CID is not water damage. In fact RED CID mean that you have common phone that is for sale by SE. Brown CID mean that your phone is prototype.
Water damage is where you see a small piece of white sticker paper (in phone's batt compartment) turn red (when have enough moisture). Your warranty will not valid at this point.
Finally don't rule out hardware damage. If you still have warranty I suggest you bring it to SE authorised service centre.

I've decided to flash it with XS++ ... since I read this thread http://forums.se-nse.net/index.php?showtopic=16148 ..
It's written there : Converting to CID52 (if required)
If XS++ detects a DB2020 CID49 or CID51 phone, it will automatically ask if the user wants to upgrade. <-- with my current condition, it's no problem to upgrade it, right?
I dunno much what will happen or what step must be taken. But I rather figure something out...

Hmm.. done with da back-up GDFS. But I'm not done with da flash, because get confused with the Flash File System.
Where to get those file for my K800i ? help?
