Itīs still actually very nice. I have had the K550 for 7 weeks, and it almost still look like new. Iīm carefull with my phones, but not extremly unordinary.
Maybe itīs dificult to see in the picture I took, but itīs not scratchy.
So, Iīm very happy with my K550. (both screen and overall performance. |

And what about the keys, will they peel off as fast as the k800's?

Get this one and then, if you want, you would flash it to w610.

No, the keys is like new also. I think they are made of metal (or "metal-plastic), but they havenīt got a scratch at all. And the numbers above the keys also look like new. (I think the numbers does have a plastic-coating over them.)

Good point. We wont be seeing anyone complaining about the peeling off symptom.

@rockygali
The D-pad on the phone works just as it should. This is my first SE with D-pad. (I have only used joystick-phones before, like K750, T610, T68 and so on, except for a M600 between the K750 and this K550.)
The first days of use I didnīt like the d-pad, but that was only because I wasnīt used to it. Nowdays I donīt think about it at all.
So I think the d-pad will last the phones lifecycle. I havnīt even had problems with my joystick-phones, but thatīs probably because I did sell the phones before they got old. (> 1 year).

It might be surprising to some : But I've found this keypad very easy & nice to use from my previous phones .... the battery cover is little creaky ...can feel the creakiness in some angles while typing

hi all i own a k550i but i realised my phone # key has very little feedback compare to the other number pad. Is it normal or do i need to send it to the service centre? My camera button is very insensitive as well, after getting the focus, i had to press it down very hard for the shutter to capture. Anyone else have these 2 problems? |
