I was amazed when I first saw it and thought that it's the perfect phone... but after a while I'm starting to notice small things that takes away that feeling of completion.
As mention here, the lack of a flash or any light for the camera is a big minus. And when looking at the pics and seeing that little dot thats the camera I wonder how it will make any pics look good. The smaller the lens is the more light is needed when taking the picture.
And why the hell are they only putting a 2mp camera in it... It's not making sense!
With the benefit of their success with Ichat and the software only needing tweeking they could have made a big leap when offering video phoning over wifi!
One thing that can't make me still want one is the design... the designers at SE and Nokia has some thinking to do... I agree...

At least by the time my contract runs out I should be able to afford it 
It is nice looking, can't wait to read a full review of it. Will it do for phones what the Ipod did for MP3 players (even though everyone has a mobile) I'm not so sure purely because the market is floaded already and the possible price premium we'l have to pay in the UK?? Hope not though. |

and also...weren´t we all urging Nokia and SE to put even better cameras, for photos and video, and also optical zoom??? where´s all that??? now, because its from apple, 2mp crap camera should be enough??? |

because nokia's e61 and m600 don't have camera's 
apple can't release a 30-40 gig version.. cause they might end up releasing their own ipod killer and the price will climb as well.. first generation. a lot of wow and not the perfect product just enough just.. that's the business model

I'll give my opinion
yes, looks awesome, nice features etc... but as a phone it looks like it would be a nightmare. I'd be afraid to put it in my pocket for fear of damaging the screen, I'd be afraid to make normal calls on it for fear of being mugged and if the screen does get damaged, well thats the end of that then isn't it? |

I think once the hype dies down.... if it ever does people will see this for what it is. A very nice product and something to get excited about but it's nothing that new on what's available now. People saying it's running the full opperating system are deluded. It's a mobile version so not much different from WM5 I expect.
Anybody remember the hype and excitement when we saw the spec list for the P990i? Apple have to get it all to work and we know from SE and Nokia that's not a simple thing to do. |

Don't get fooled from other manufactures design of the camera. The lenses are small in all phones, but most designers but a lot of "stuff" around it to make it look bigger. Remember SE S700. They all have rings and crap around. Apple is famous for the minimalist design, so the dot you see is actually the real size of the lense without all the unessary design touches you would find elsewhere. Therefore it is only an illusion that is smaller.
Other than that one thing bothers me. Why Apple is alergic to FM-tuner. I really want to know. |

Haha. Good point. However, their accessories dont suffer from the same problem. Theres a FM radio headset and this phone has a ipod port. |
