Just a quick query - I have a K800i which has a slight charging fault, which means it won't charge via the charger or recognise it's been plugged in. This is due to some corrosion from moisture on the connector. However, it does charge via the USB lead, though if you move/knock the phone about too much it sometimes disconnects.
My query is that when charging via the USB cable my battery will only get as far as about 90% - even when left to charge overnight! is this the maximum charge that the USB cable can give the phone, or can I charge the battery fully?

it is normal to reach around 90% via USB charge. this is known as trickle charging. |

I had a feeling that would be the case, might try go get hold of a new charger port and change it at some stage in the future!

I have a problem with my K800i, just this morning i typed a message then hit "continue" to send the message. All of a sudden the screen turns white then the phone restart then go back to the standby screen.
I upgraded my firmware thru SEUS. Tried to take out the mem card, battery and sim card but the problem still arise.
FW: R1GB001
EROM: R3A011
Anyone encountered this kind of bug? Any solution to this problem. I badly need an answer, pls help... |

Never had such a problem. Upgrade your EROM to R3A016 to avoid dead phones. Download Wotan Server client, press 2 and 5. It may be caused by your old EROM. May be. |

I have a litlle deception compared my ex k750i
maybe somebody can find me the problem
when i sent a message with my k750 and go to the sent message i could see if the msg was delivered to my contact by a green cover
now in te k800 i cant, it is normal or a bug?
in the k800 i just can see it if i go to the status msg |

about getting a white screen when sending a message, i have a problem with my k800i thats even more weird, but a bit like yours. Whenever i call someone, and at the moment that someone answers the call, the screen goes white, then turns off, and then i get back to the standby screen, and it has to search for the net, as if it restarted... This is freaking annoying since i cant use the phone what it was intended to be used for, call! Everything else works, except for this...
I have the latest k800i firmware that you can download through the update service, and never had any third part firmwares or anything like that, i have R1GB001 |

Check your phonenumbers, on the simcard as well as on the phonememory, make sure there isn`t a double one or something like that.
I had the same problem with only some contacts, screen white, phone restarts. I found out that some contacts where double on the sim as wel as in the phone memory with little differences like 06 to start and ±316 to start the number or a name spelled with Capital and one without.
I made sure I had them al correct on sim only once, not double ! Deleted the phonememorynumbers. Copied contacts then from sim back in my phonememory. Problem Solved!!!

hi ,, i have got a strange problem ..i hve updated my vodafone k800i and the menu get changed ..now my icons in the menu are changed to traditional vodafone style not the standard k800i`s icons ..and i want my icons back .. please help me regarding this thanx |

I noticed today that i'm having a problem with my K800i. The flash on the camera seems to be broken. Not only that, but the flash options have completely dissapeared from the camera settings screen. This is kind of irritating, as it's pretty useless now.
Anyone have any ideas? |

I've upgraded my K800i to R1JG001 and noticed some bug.
Pressing the Game A button (the upper-left hand button) will open up the last shot in landscape mode. Now using the Game A/B buttons will navigate forward/back respectively through the Camera Album. But the Game A button doesn't works. Though the Game A button works perfectly fine in other screens. 
Please, can someone try this on their K800i with R1JG001 firmware and see if it is a common bug. |

mine is R1GB001 a bit outdated maybe.
But both game a and b works.
Notice something? in my K800, in standby screen when you quickly press
147* together it will bring you to phone status>
2580 bring you to delete screen of last camera image
369# bring you to your homepage.
I dont know whether this has been posted before. |

I don't have that Game A button bug either before when I'm on R1GB. That bug appeared when I upgraded to R1JG
About your findings. It doesn't happen to R1JG except that pressing 3-6-9-# in order rapidly, it displays a menu called 'Call from SIM' with empty entries though my SIM contacts are not empty. |

maybe my phone abit weird? btw my phone isnt the black version, its the allure brown version (maybe some difference lol).
Do you press all the button with your thumb altogether?
Those keys need to be pressed in exact same time, once i press like 1/2 second late it doesnt work.
