Sony Ericsson K610 discussion! |

When you connect the USB cable to the K610i .. you get 2 options in your phone display to choose between !!! File Transfer or Phone Usage ..
If you choose File Transfer .. the Memory Stick will appear as a Hard Drive in your Explorer ..
If you choose Phone Usage.. it will just work as a normal phone with the Sony Ericsson File Manager .. |

Well i had Z800i .. i could see an option to format the MS .. but when i bught a W800i .. i noticed that option was droped !! and the K610i doesnt have it either ..
I wounder what do you want to do with that option ?? you can do it through your computer !!

to format mem stick its might be not the most important feature, but useful and not a big deal to put it in the fw, so i get the former poster, why he miss it....

W800 does have an option to format the memory stick. Just push the "More" button while in File Manager, and the option is there obviously.

Out on Orange UK website today. Free on contract and £149.99 on payg. Not bad price. Screen is still too small compared to K800 but still a steal at that price. |

Well i had W800i and i had NO format option .. i guess there is some different between my firmware and your´s guys .. but anyway we talk about K610i right now and NO i could not find any Memory Stick Format option yet ....
And by the way, the latest firmeware out is the first release

Supers how to format the M2 in the k610i guide.
Scroll to file manager and open it >
Click more>
Scroll to Memory Status>
Select Memory Stick>
Click More>
Click Format M.S.
And its as simple as that

I went to the Service point to check out that FORMAT option !! they took my phone and updated the firmware .. !! now the FORMAT option availble !! and the firmware # still same as the first release !!
