Thanks max_wedge. Do you have the brand name of the transmitter, because things in Israel maybe defferent from the place you live in. I never heard about wired fm transmitters here. Only with the old CD changers and it was at least 5 years ago. I tried to search the ebay, but founf only wireless stuff. |

I notice the FM modulator has RCA inputs, is there an accessory that allows me to plug my phone into those inputs? |

all you need is an rca to 3.5mm adapter for the transmitter and a fastport to 3.5mm adapter (or the HPM70) forthe phone.

I can't see how it's compatible with the SE fast port connector because if you look at this:

it seems to only have a 2.5mm plug.

yes that one has a 3.5mm plug, where as some have been sold with a fastport to 3.5mm socket converter.

I received my MMR-60 today. I'm actually very pleased as it works extremely well! I plugged it in to the fastport and after a second or two it lights up and says "MMR-60: Transmit on 107.9MHZ" which is a perfect as I get completely no radio station signals on that frequency. So I tuned in my car radio and perfect sound immediately, although if you move the phone there can be a little background noise, but surprisingly very little. One issue is that you have to have the volume on the media player set to the middle or less level as anything above this creates distorted sound. This isn't really a problem as it sounds as loud as a normal radio station, but of a higher quality. The final issue is that it doesn't have the fastport connector on the bottom for charging, but doesn't seem to be a huge problem as i've been messing around with it for the past hour and the battery level hasn't been affected.
Well although this is a short and sweet review I'm glad to say its better than I expected and it works in my car so its a huge bonus.

@dgilmartin that's good news.
Today I went to buy one of these, as they've finally been released in australia. When I got to the store it transpired that all their new stock of mmr-60's had been recalled! No reason given.
So I checked around the other stores in town and it's the same with all. They had the mmr-60's, then had them taken back by SE. So it will be interesting to see if all stores around the world get the recall, or just stores that received faulty batches of stock.
But the light at the end of the tunnels is that those bad reports (which about equal good) may be the result of peeps who received faulty units. It may not actually be a design flaw (which would surprise me coming from SE), but a quality control issue. Still surprising, but less damning than designing something that doesn't actually work even when it's built properly

is it possible to make this work in all together:
W800i + Car Holder HCH-60 + MMR60 + Car Charger + Akono™ Headset HBH-608 at the same time?
The main problem can appear
1. does MMR60 works if sticked in Car Holder not phone itself?
2. Does Charging for phone works thru MMR60?
3. Does ir makes music mute when there is incoming call?
Thanks. |

I don't think so mate as although previously advertised with a fastport on the base of the MMR-60, It seems that decided to drop this feature
