did flash my K750i to R1N035.......
it worked fine & everything was in place......except!!!!
the improved gamma/contrast of the LCD didn't update & the screen is still 100% the same!!! it's really bad since the only thing that caught my attention in this update is the updated screen gamma/contrast witch is offset by +40% witch makes the photos look washed out & the videos display with all the compression artifacts since the LCD is to bright because of the gamma thing.
really disappointed in SE
did anybody notice any changes in the LCD after updating? more contrast / better colors? |

My own K750i can't be updated with SEUS, it stops at 56%, just right after the phone get the firmware part flashed, the filesystem part can't be flashed, so all updates doesn't get installed, like the camera driver, languages ect.
I tried 2 other phones and one of them is getting updated perfectly every time... this phone have never been used with any unlocking/flashing tool, but the 2 other phones have been updated with Cruiser and got their RSA area modified so I could modify the filesystem, and disable camerasound ect.
But even if I relock RSA on the phone, it still can't get updated by SEUS, so my question to all of you is, is your un-updateable phones all got used with some kind of unlocking tool earlier? and all those who can update with SEUS, did any of you get your phone unlocked before the SEUS update to R1N035? |

ive had the same problem with my brothers handset, just now, so i called up SE and the SE rep says to me that there was a corruption with the original software in the phone, this could explain why its happening to certain people and for others it works, anyway he gave me a number of my local repair center so im going to give them a call now and see how it goes, will keep you guys updated

I'm in France.
The update for my phone on SE sites with the R1N035 sucks like some other peoples here.
On my "SE agreed repair center" in France they still don't have the R1N035 so they flashed it with the R1L002.
They told me to come back when they get it.
I think it's loosing my time, SE must allow us to choose our firmware, so if somethink wrong, we can get back to an older firmware.

I've also got my phone back from SE of Singapore after the online update destroyed my phone. The software upgrade that they do for me is R1L002. They say that the one on the internet is not a full version of the R1N035. |

hi everybody,
thank you dyndragon, your way of updating worked for me as well
just a pity that you loose all sms and contact memory as well as you have to spend €10 for something that should be really free!
i hope SE can get their act together, in the end i just switched from siemens... product, marketing and design is excellent, but not so happy about support so far

I'VE FIGURED IT OUT!
I just finished this, so I am not 100% sure it's ok yet, but...here goes. You will need your K750i, the sync cable that came with it, and 1 DaVinci Log Credit.
Before you do anything, put a SIM lock passcode on your SIM card. You'll understand later.
1. Get DaVinci remote unlocker 13.7
2. Flash your phone to R1L002 (I used K750i_R1L002_MAIN_EU_EMEA.DVT, K750i_R1L002_FS_EU2.DVT, and CDA102337/10 - Europe2 as my Main, FS, and CDA). DO NOT FINALIZE.
3. Use SEUS to perform a RECOVERY Update, and it will load the R1N035 firmware onto your phone.
4. This time, it SHOULD be successful and load everything on to your phone. However, your phone is still not finalized, so you can't use it yet. But, because you put a SIM lock on your SIM card, it won't give you that "configuration error" message, and you will be able to check the software versions by pressing >*<<*<* on your phone while in the SIM passcode entry screen. VERIFY that you have the new firmware and new camera version (4.5)
5. Go back to DaVinci, make sure that you DO NOT flash your phone again to the old firmware by unchecking the Main and FS check boxes. MAKE SURE the FINALIZE box is checked. DaVinci will warn you that you are not flashing the phone, which is right. Go ahead and finalize.
Congratulations, you should have worked around this stupid SE mess up.

dyndragon,
I personally want to thank you for you extremely helpful info... it worked wonders. As another poster commented earlier, 2 options available... 1. Purchase a Devinci credit and follow dyndragon instructions or 2.head on down to authorized SE service centre and have it flashed for free (under Warranty). I opted for option 1. Purchased a devinci credit AUD$16.00 proceeded with dyndragon info. The whole process took me know longer than 35min of my time at home and bringing my K750i back to life with the current firmware. It saved me time driving to a service centre plus the time wasted in which i could of been doing other things on my day off. Anyone out there that has experienced similar problems... take dyndragon's option... i did and it worked wonders... oh and not 1 hickup experienced along the way, so as long as you follow dyndragon exact instructions... again thankyou!
