Dankie jirre, i'm off until next Monday
It's been a very relaxing weekend, nothing more stressful than negotiating beachfront traffic and a trip or two to Mario's hometown.
So does anybody here think SA has a reasonable chance of walking away with the laurel wreath? There seem to be more surprises in store...

Its the K800. its not a smartphone by the way. And i got the phone on contract without paying a cent upfront. I only pay R200 a month and i get R200 airtime. I wouldnt be able to "scrounge" up any money coz the 1GB M2 memory card costs R800.
Thanks alot for the help. This is what forums are for i guess.

yo dudes. Remember me? i had the problem with choosing betweem the K800 and another symbian SE.
Your wording about Symbian SE drew me to the mention of 'smartphone', so my mistake; however I'm well aware that the K800 is not a smartphone.
Secondly, no one's saying that you have to get a 1 gig card or to fork out R800 for it, hence the deliberate mention of a low capacity memory card in the reply- I don't deem a 1gig to be low capacity, even with the abundance of even bigger memory cards on the market.
We try to help, hopefully without the lowest form of wit manifesting from anyone. At the end of the day, we can all benefit and learn from each other in such a forum.

@kronik101, to be fair, I think @wanqa and @brix have tried their best to help you based on whatever limited information you've given us. And to answer your question I think the files in the webpages folder you mentioned are due to Voda branding. Your phone is Voda branded, am I right? I've no experience with them as they have not invaded our shores yet. However, I'm pretty sure if you don't need to use the Voda links, etc, you can safely delete those files. To be honest, I think you really should get a memory card, whether it's 128-512Mb, it'll definitely be of a greater help then deleting that 5.7Mb of stuff.

There's a section under the PHONE MEMORY thats called Webpages. Its the vlive webpages and stuff. you think if i delete them they'll affect anything? Coz they take up 5.7MB, which i could really use.Any help would be appreciated.
You can delete all the saved pages they all take you to different parts of the Vlive homepage, delete all the pics you dont need, Meerkats you just have to live with, the amr and other music files can also be deleted. All together you can make up 20MB of free space. And get a card!

800Rand for 1Gig ?!?! I've paid 300Rand for 2gig (nokia n73) and I still think is expensive. For the first time I have decided to leave my dedicated camera at home while on holiday. N73's pictures look ok for my needs. I will upload some to my blog directly from my cell via flickr. Nokia's lifeblogger program works like a charm. My pc, laptop and cell, are basically one and the same thing what photos are concerned. @Ama, you should give it a go . Does anyone know where the secluded Buffalo bay is?

hey kronik a smaller memory card is bout three hundred bucks....256 should be more than enough.hey guys i'm totally off the p990 now, spent a few hours with it on monday and i think it's way too big for me...considering it doesn't really offer so many advantages over my v3x....so the next best bet is the w950 right? i mean what does a p990 have which a w950 doesn't ?it's much smaller,is uiq3 and camera isn't a problem since p990 video quality is just as crap as my v3x and w800!or should i go over to the dark side and get me a n95 lol at least until release something with better touch screen, video, gps.

@Falcon: Are you seriously comparing the V3x with the P990? For one you'll find that you can do a whole lot more with the than with that recycled junk from Moto...How are you finding that user interface? C'mon admitt it, it's the crappiest one out there.

I spent some time last nite setting up a neighbour's V3x, while also playing about with a cousin's P800. What a world of difference!!! Not even if i were paid would i consider brands other than Nokia or SE when it comes to user interface and ease of use.

Ye I remembered sending a video from a friends Moto to my K750 via Bluetooth, but it sent it to my phone and it erased it from the Moto lol!!!
How stupid.

Yeah, Silence of The (Moto) Clams...
Off to Liverpool tomorrow to sign the papers for a new sports bike; the one shop there has got a fantastic deal going. Will be taking the N73 along for some more happy snaps.
