Oh no, not the Duban July!!!(Hmm, I see Vodacom is advertising it on their site too, Tahir...)
The only thing remotely interesting about the Durban July (for me)is some of the wacky fashions people parade around in at SA's premier horseracing event, hoping the tv cameras might just notice them.
Personally, I couldn't give a flying monkey's about horseracing in general. Perhaps if I was a betting man I might have somewhat more of an appreciation for it.
I'd rather watch the SA cricket team on Sky Sports trying to climb the world rankings again after doing a lot better in the West Indies lately...I am still very (proudly) South African.
Tks for the info anyway,Tahir. Co-incidently(?), Vodafone UK also have a PAYG option called Smart Step...

This evening saw an ad by Vodacom for the Vodafone-branded Sharp GX30(?) which is going for R999...nice and cheap... I'm expecting it to be much cheaper in a couple of months.

49c?!
Where in Jozi are they going for 49c? What shops? Are they readily available all over Jhb at that price? I'm not gonna have time to search all over from Braamfontein to Mondeor, or from Roodepoort to Benoni for that matter.

@786KBR: Don't think there's anything special about the GX30...Good luck to anyone who buys it...it just looks too cheap like one of those low-end Moto's.

Ignore my earlier references to the Sharp GX30... It should've said the Sharp GX15. Saw the specs on gsmarena.com nothing to write home about...it's only got 1.5MB of memory.
