Bringing out Steve Walker from Sony Ericsson! Fingers crossed.
Steve: "At Sony Ericsson we're focused on smartphones. We use the best and most open operating system -- Android."
Introducing Xperia Arc. Super slim and light, runs Gingerbread. 4.2-inch Reality Display with the Mobile Bravia Engine for improved image quality.
Xperia Arc arriving in Q1 around the world.
HDMI out as well.
And Steve leaves the stage -- looks like we're waiting for MWC to see the PlayStation phone.

Kaz Hirai non-confirms the PlayStation Phone
Kaz Hirai, President and CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment, just twirled a fine dance around the PlayStation Phone. In discussing Sony's future strategy for offering a coherent and extremely expansive consumer offering, he used the words "tablets," "smartphones" and "PlayStation" in the same sentence, whetting appetites but never taking the leap to confirm what we all pretty much know his company is working on:
Strategy encompasses driving the development of a variety of new strategic products and services including tablets currently in development as well as smartphones, all the while of course integrating the knowhow and the assets that we've accumulated from our PlaySation business. |

Link text...OK. The Xperia Arc is official. Please use the Arc thread for further discussion about this phone.
I know it is a little late now, but the entire event was live on Ustream

Maybe the (dual core ?) fat psphone isn't yet ready to be shown for Sony.
So there might be 2 dualcore (play and neo) and 2 gigahertz (duo and arc) SE phones for this H1 2011 ?
Because SE never had been far from others and I hope the CEO surprise isn't android 2.3, which isn't suffisent for 2011...

If it is would you take some pictures while doing it ?
Remember that xperia arc wasn't supposed to have this kind of screen, camera and software, moreover it is a 1ghz slimmest phone that was suppose to be a slim 800mhz outdated one. So you shouldn't be that sure of yourself...
Joke apart do you guys think that the next x10 update (with dual touch) will come with 2.2 ? I mean it would be a nice "catch up" from SE.
