Well, there are other qwerty Androids to come such as the supposed Nexus 2 and stuff from HTC. I don't know about but they have a small portfolio now to cut their losses which has worked in all fairness.
Now, there is a Sony led collaboration but I can't say if its mobile or not. The Vaio stuff must be a netbook. There is a phone to 'rival' the iPhone which is meant to be high end, this is not the 'Vivaz Walkman'. I don't know anything about this, for all I know it could be WP7 with PS3 support and nothing else.
Whatever Sony is doing with will be much more Sony than for sure. It would not surprise me if there was a PSPhone with downloadable games but I can't see it having a CD drive. A PSP2 would take priority because the original was a mega hit. A PSPhone would also have 99% Sony hardware, 1%
There is little information about this. I think the PSP Go made into a phone would be a good thing but PlayStation is very precious to Sony. Its way too big for to mess up so personally, I doubt this mega device will be this daring. PS1 games on a mobile would be a decent achievement. |

@badassmam damn, that's what I've been waiting for. A project spear headed by Sony, and a phone to rival the iPhone? in terms of what? UI simplicity? cause basically that's about what the iPhone has that the other manufacturers don't (not including the app store, of course). I can't wait for this...are we going to see it this year? |

the last cybershot branded camphone was c901 which was announced Feb 2009.
(Satio hough technically a very much CS phone was placed in the EU line up)
when will the next CS phone be announced?
Will the exmor R CMOS sensor, sweep panorama, handheld twilight be seen also in a CS phone?
the larger than usual (in camphone standards) sensor of N8 must be answered by

Will the Vivaz Walkman phone look exactly like Vivaz? And will it's specs be the same? I hope they'll add a xenon flash and stereo speakers at least. And maybe even a larger sensor for the camera and music-dedicated keys |

Forget the xenon flash on a walkman, it's never going to happen!
Everything else you mentioned you may get.
I don't think when they say it looks like the Vivaz they mean literally but that the shape will conform to the Vivaz's.

He is taking a dig at Apple while trying to show how he is able to get any prototype anyhow.
Assuming he has that phone of course.

Eldar is talking about the new Vivaz which SE plans to release with 12mp cam at a price of 350 euros. However, it's still under debate whether to go forward with its launch or altogether cancel it.

I bet it's because it looks outdated when next to the N8.
A 'Vivaz 2' is more than likely to be lower than a 'Satio 2'. I also wonder why this is a Vivaz not a Satio successor. The Satio is need of a revamp in both hardware, software and reputation. There was not much wrong with the Vivaz and so its replacement could still be delayed while more Android phones are released.
Get your priorities right, SE!

Perhaps SE felt that if it added the Satio's key feature, it's 12 mp camera, to the Vivaz, owing to its form factor, which is like by one and all, consumers may find it a better package, especially considering that they are looking for a price around 350 euros. However, for me, anything S60 is a no go. Instead, Sony Ericsson should out a couple of Android 2.1 devices, but that ain't going to happen anytime soon as they wouldn't want it eating into X10's sales.
The only OS am looking forward to - Android and Windows Phone 7.

I don't think launching a couple more Android devices would hurt X10 sales.
The simple fact that the X10 is selling well right now, and it being it's first Android device, proves that customers aren't wary of the new OS on SE phones, in fact from this article Android Sales Rocket there are plenty more such phones on the way and it seems people can't get enough of them.
SE would do well to have a strong presence during this Android explosion. I think they should begin steering away from S60 - completely.
