But some people would rather him get fired and have lawyers on his back for uploading some photos.
Who says the prototype PK had was going to look like the finished product? Like i read somewhere, a proto they gave out of a different phone was nothing like the actual released handset.
Then a guy would have lost his job to satisfy some people with a photo that doesnt look like the final product  .
Is it so hard to wait for an official announcement... REALLY?!

lets just all hope that the P5 announcement delay is for its own good.  this year had a lot of delaying done. The K series' flagship (k700, k750, k800) which usually gets announced by March and shipped by june was of a different story this year. Looking on the bright side, wants the best for us thats why they delay handsets

Yeah, thats why they delayed the P990 too.... to get a phone FULL of bugs..

well, it could have been worst if did not delay p990. not only will it have bugs. it could have had cockroaches too. so i think it was still for p990's benefit thats why it was delayed.

Still not got the proto back due to "changes" i have been told but should not take too long apparantly! 
No announcement by the looks of it but don't think it can be far off folks.
have a few plans up their sleeves

thats right alfaro we are hoping that ends 2007 and starts 2008 with a big bang! hehehe just like when w900 ended 2005 followed by w810 which started 2006.

Well I have to admit too, that Sony/// is losing big grounds. I think they have quite a big and loyal group of followers like myself but what they released in 2007 was quite frankly dissappointing. For me Sony/// was always a bit comparable to Apple, nice sleek products that are a bit ahead of the competitors. They´ve certainly lost that edge and Im for the first time in my mobile phone history inclined to try other products (well the IPhone is already on its way here).
But as a loyal fanboy Im hoping they get their a**** up finally and win us back!
Not looking good though..... |

SE does not have a real flagship and that's a real problem.
If they delay this too much, they're dead on this TOP field of smartphones.

Well 2007 was the year I left the fold and switched to a non-E/SE phone for the first time in seven years, and there was a reason for that - as others have said, they've just lost their edge over the last year or so. Smartphones are where it's at, and SE's smartphones just aren't that smart any more. The P990 was an embarrassment, and yet it still seems to loom large over the product range more than a year later, with the P1 and even the W960 merely warming over the same design; now they're saying it'll be another year before something new makes it to market? Too little, far too late. By that time the Iphone II, and the touchscreen Nokias, will all be in the shops already. Nothing we've read in this thread so far about the "P5" will seem remotely exciting or new. SE will still be trailing behind.
Someone at SE needs to start throwing a lot of money whatever departments are slowing all this up... at the moment it just seems they've completely lost pace with the market. If we have to wait another year for the next P series, they may as well not bother - end the line with the P1, and concentrate on the cheap consumer stuff.
