Hello guys, sorry for disappearing for a long time. My t300 does not have this thread as a bookmark. What is this about Tu1 and Tu2? Also if i get the chance, do you think that i should get a BRAND NEW R520 for collectors item sake? Thanks :-)

TU1 and TU2 are the prototype versions. Mine is the TU1 which as far as I am aware are the first one's made, and so they are a little different from the production models, as they have a few more games on them and my menus are slightly different to my production one. In answer to the question on price for a new one, the prices range from £80 to £100 brand new in the UK, and they only come in silver now. There have been a few copper le mans versions for sale on ebay recently, and these were selling at about £75 with a buy now, but they did not come boxed. Hope this is of some help. |

well, boys and girls, let's get the ball rolling again..
i gotta get my vibrate motor to work again... when i bought it, it wasn't working... loose connection... sometimes it'd vibrate.. but very seldom.. then i dropped it (yes, it's painful, but at least i always have it in the case so it isn't as bad) and it worked again hehe... but i could tell it wasn't up to what a real vibration would feel... still not too strong and very loud and clicking.. now it's back to not working again.. damn it, i should get it fixed properly hehe...
anyone having problems w/ their handsets?
hehe, on hofo, they're calling it a weird cult following... us R520 users lol...

Hi,
For all you R520m lovers, there is a little rush on the R520m here in France.
I myself learned about the phone on a French newsgroup and after all the good people wrote about the R520m, I sold my brand new Philips Fisio to get a R520m.
Got a Copper R520m now for some months and must say that, even with its "high age", this is the perfect phone!
Got the IAT-10 antenna and, of course , the smart ICE-10 case and love it.
Last thing I have to do is flash the phone to the lastest software and it's heaven. The flash I will do just for fun because even with the version I have, there's no problem - everything is working OK.
Keep the R520m going!!

yes the ICE-10 case is vital for me... nice and soft the leather
IAT-10 is hard to find... still wondering if i should invest in one or not... reception's already good w/o it
